One thing though to consolate you, those who watched the Futurama episode with Seymour: The stoned shell "containing" Seymour was NOT harmed at all by episodes' end. Thus theoretically, there'd still be chances to revival him.. But since it's just a cartoon, they won't return to this again, so.. :|

Futurama loves to reference past episodes and build off them. like when you go back to the first episode you can actually see nibblers shadow when he pushes fry in. Although it is presented as time travel, where a "copy" of Fry still lived in the past. Very few things have made me cry as hard as this. It is definitely one of the saddest moments in cartoon history. Not only is it a great stroy, but it really nails the deep and unbreakable bond between us and the animals we share our lives with. I hope my Marley is waiting for me in heaven.

It is beautiful that you can see the heart of people admitting they were touched by this, it being animated didn't matter the idea of friendship and losing a friend are real ideas to humanity and the shame that the internet appears to praise conformity and an elimination of human emotion, that is many are coneccted by the internet but are shown not be human by seperating themselves from emotion and a loss of awarness on what life includes it is refreshing to be reminded that they are real people
