When most people from outside the US look at your video they would say your the example of An American. ( They think Americans are all about themselves never exploring beyond sometimes there own city borders.I ask when you travel the World and Explore it and not just touristy areas then come back and make a video but until your view looks at the whole picture you should just not speak) Also they were in a tourist area hooked up with a guide that guided them on an Abstract border FreetheTrekkers

It is my understanding that they had a Guide leading them, and the Guide led them to the location they were apprehended. The Guide was not apprehended which it possible could have been a set up for a payout. Happens time to time. Also I would agree with bryanguy1 because those are the same thoughts i hear when I travel and communicate with people abroad. you would be suprized the many places people go. always few Americans, recently anyways

Are you saying this was an easy slip-up anyone could get themselves into? Or are you advising that young US journalists read state department warnings, carry maps, and avoid middle-eastern border regions?

Yea...even when the two reporters, (don't think this is the same case you're talking about), Lisa Ling's sister and her sister's partner that were recently released. When they were captured for crossing boarders they said they didn't know they were doing, (yea right), but come on! You should know the risks you are taking when you plan to travel in places like this!!

If we caught North Koreans or Iaranians trying to get into our country and they said they were just hiking and got lost I'm soooo sure our government would believe them.
