I believe that Rev 3:10 is akin to verses which share with us that the Lord will keep us from falling...that when we are tempted, he will keep us from falling by giving us a way of escape..a way to overcome and turn away from the temptation so that we do not fall.
This is shown when the saints overcome the beast by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.
We know it's not the dome of the rock because the daily sacrifices continue today, or have since it was set up, Daniel 12:11 tells us the daily sacrifice is taken away, why? Because they think this imposter(Lucifer) is Christ. He will be here 5 months, because Christ shortened it from 1290 days, this is the tribulation. 5 months, can you stand for God that long?
