The latest report is that

"Tests of a giant tanker refitted to scoop up oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico have been inconclusive because of high seas, operators said."

So the delay was caused by God given weather, not D.C., not the Coast Guard.

Facts are troublesome to some folks, who prefer opinions . . .

The reason for the hold up of the "A Whale" was due to Hurricane Alex. It was waiting for the approval that it was safe. Sure its a huge ship but do remember even the biggest ships can't deal with hurricane force water conditions.

2. Su was raised and educated in Japan.

3. Flying the flag of Monrovia, Liberia.

4. Built in South Korea by Hynndai for oil cargo supertanker originally.

5. Retrofitted in Portugal 2 months ago for oil skimming purpose.

There's a lot of red states in the gulf, eh Obama? Is dithering, deliberating and delaying the clean-up how you get your revenge? Sorta like how only blue states got any significant stimulus money?

The whole gulf coast was red states in 2008, and red cleaned up in the governor's races as well. Louisiana was considered "purple". We always knew that about you, Louisiana. I sure wish we had an administration that didn't use disasters to advance their agenda.
