But the drummer definitely needs to loosen up A LOT and have more versatility in his play. I know as a drummer myself how extremely difficult it is to replicate Ginger's playing, but trying won't hurt! :D
@amnesiac1975 : I disagree. I think the bass player has it down fairly well. Perhaps not exactly note for note, but close enough. I also like the SG player's licks. very tasty.
good cover, good vocals and rythm guitar. I think you should get a wah-pedal for this song. And tell the bassist that he need to turn UP the vol. of his bass
Whattaya expect? For him to sound just like an adult Clapton? He's a teenager and he's doing a good job. Cut him some slack. These guys rock th' house!
This is only practice folks, lighten up on the gjys a bit willya? Constructive criticizm is fine, but don't blast them. Two very good lead players, bassist is excellent, drummer can keep the beat, but needs to show his talents a bit more. Practice it like you're going to play it live. that's the best advise I can give. Play those drums like you mean it! You won't hurt them! Overall, great job, guys. Keep it up and don't forget to *have fun*!
Add some pizzazz to this one by having your drummer be more like Ginger Baker. Listen to the original tune and see how he adds his fill after each line of the song. It will sound much better.
hey if you guys are looking for gigs, just try to do some local talent shows and battles of bands and stuff. if youre good people will see you guys and realize they could use you at their business.
Great job musically but you need more pizzaz. Your drummer looks like he has something sticking up his ass. Smile a little enjoy the song and practice. Truthfully for all the cover songs I've seen this is one of the best (on youtube at least), but giving you my honest opinion I believe this deserves 4 stars.
Just my two cents, from an older guy who played classic rock and electric blues for many years..And I mean this very constructively-Get a lead singer, or pump up the volume on your vocals. you guys are really good players, but your sound needs balance. With your talent, you'll get where you want to go, if you stick with it!BTW, it's great to see you younger guys keeping these great classics like "White Room" alive. Rock on, dudes..
thanks for the feedback and we are working on making vocals louder but in a small room it is hard to crank them up without feedback. If you have a chance, listen to some other songs we did and give us more good feedback. Maybe listen to our original songs and tell us what you think.
you guys are getting really good , josh i liked your solo as always , michael great job on the vocals you are doing very good now originally i hadn't been amazed by the vocals but hey now i am , stephens got some nice riffs working keep it up , and tyler that beet was pretty dead on man you guys keep at it ! peace !

1- Vocalist is a problem: vocals are not well mixed and the voice is just not powerful.
2- overall recording needs better mixing and better bass-guitar miking.

Wow this is great especially for your ages.
sam350999 9 months ago
Vocalist seems to be stretching his voice a little bit during the refrain. Perhaps have another band member sing it? Hurting your voice is bad

Good cover, you guys sound tight. One bit of advice, get your drummer to listen to the original (i.e get busy and stick some fills in)

In my opinion they're a good group. Bass line doesn't semm to be the original.
amnesiac1975 2 years ago
Maybe, but even the originals are just studio versions, it always gets changed up a bit live. I'd rather hear their version than an exact cover.

Cut his mic. The singer needs to go. She/he is utterly wrong for a band, especially a Cream cover.

Pretty cool guys but you definitely need more energy. This song is all about the energy. Try bringing the tempo up a little.
Better yet, play the Cream version, not the laid back Eric Clapton version. :p
