  • I met Sherman a few days ago and he was wearing a YES t-shirt! Very surreal!

  • Wow, last time I checked this had about 900 hits. Thanx to all who appreciate this short clip. :-D

  • "In 1999, (Hemsley) collaborated with Yes founder Jon Anderson on an album titled 'Festival of Dreams' which was not released."

They should'a titled it "Movin On Up, Close to the Edge" - then they'd sell a million!

  • I wrote, "Sherman Hemsley was a PROG ROCK FANATIC"Here is Daevid Allen’s (member of Gong) verbatim account of his sole meeting with certified Gong fanatic Hemsley:“It was 1978 and Sherman Hemsley kept ringing me up. I didn’t know him from a bar of soap because we didn’t have television in Spain (where I was living). He called me from Hollywood saying, ‘I’m one of your biggest fans and I’m going to fly you here and put flying teapots all up and down the Sunset Strip.’ Google Hemsley and Gong.

  • 'Was'? He's still alive!

  • That is so cool! Nektar's Show Me the Way, on The Jeffersons!!!

  • That is so cool! Nektar's Show Me the Way, on The Jeffersons!!!

  • Still trying to find the footage of when he danced to Gentle Giant's "Proclamation" on the Dinah Shore Show. Nektar is in the area this weekend but am unable to attend. Would love to speak to Albrighton about Hemsley.

  • He still is all of these things. At last check (today's date being August 22, 2011) Mr. Hemsley is alive and well. :)
