good to know, Ken. i'll have to try that with the snowball mic sometime. i somehow always felt that would cause the vocals to be way louder than the instrument. time to experiment!

When you sing quietly get close to the mic, and perhaps in the chorus when your voice is louder, pull away. I learned that from Midge Ure of Ultravox in the 80's.
