not to come across rude, but what is your point? he ran a 13.7, you cant paper race every car, i beat him on the tree and you have to give the STi some slack because that track is far from good. On a good track his run would have been a low 13.

hey whats up man. i race my mx-5 turbo as well, the stock psi is 7 but i got mine running at 11.5 just because i still got the stock intercooler. but soon as i get a wider one im gonna go crazy and run up the psi to about 13 or 15. the weight diff. is what gave you the win. i should know, i drive your car. congrats on the win, those sti's and evos are in a class all their own and its very impressive to see the a miata beat one. very unexpected.
stock sti's can run anywhere from 12.9-13.6 for good times in good conditions any thing over 13.6 is less than good driving, but still grats on the win.
most sock sti's i see run 13.6 to 13.9, i ran a 14 flat that run. STI ran a 13.7, my 4 reaction time was better, but in dragracing that is key. Thank... just so you know i actually got the mazdaspeed down in the mid 13 ranges now 13.4 to 13.6. More to come when i upgrade turbos and ill have better vid for you all =P
i didnt ask the guy driving what he had done but i from what i saw i would have to guess maybe just exhaust and intake... maybe a downpipe....
my MSM had intake/turbo back exhaust/boost controller/fmic (no power gain)/550cc injectors/and standalone which i was trying to get a good tune all night.. that run i was on about 13.5 psi peaking real fast at 14. i was dyno'd at 210 at 8.5 psi (without the injectors and standalone)
if i do motor work im going to bore it to a 2.0L... recently i cant crack 13.8 at island some say the track is just terrible, people have actually driven there car 5 tenths faster at englishtown (raceway park) so im going to try and get there before it starts to snow
alright jay!

Well with out a stand alone you wont be able to run more than 11psi, if you have a mazdaspeed turbo.

Nice setup, the weight difference was the key to the win. Unless the STi driver couldn't drive :)

Nice run. What were the mods on each? Would be fair to list them both

Run Forged bottom end, cams, bigger turbo, bigger fuel pump, tune and you'll be at low 12s possibly 11s. Great driving man.
