  • First one and second dident djent with crappy amp settings. but ok vid i guess

  • 3:28 lmfao seriously.

  • MINOR SWING!!!!!!!!!! ♥

  • Haha starts with Django Reinhardt. But I bet no one here listens to jazz and metal...

  • @PeknPikle ummmm.....i do. i knew right away it was django.....sooooo boom biddy boom boom

  • @joesteed7 limehouse blues at that.....and bumpin some periphery

  • Emg's are boss. I have an Ibanez s series with gold emgx's they sound wonderful

  • no. its not got djent.

  • um, whats with the misha picture?

  • You're doing it wrong! The LTD SC has EMGs!!!!

  • Really i enjoyed that. That djent stuff is so hip it's all about the fuc*ing BKP's. Does anyone remeber the Nu metal hype? :) When we all were saving for a recto and drop D'ed .. it was awful

  • @MXopti Thing is, I LOVE BKP pickups. I guess I can be hipster about it and say I had BKPs before they were cool. (like when Djent kids were still using Lundgrens xD )

  • @wulfman15 OFC I have no prob. with Bareknuckles at all (must be awesome if you can afford them ;) . Also not with the "djent" music to be honest. It's just the hype that is annoying ,like "Put a BKP into a pile of shit an it will djent like shit" (Ok that is YOUR message ^^) Like I see all these "djent sound test" vids here. Those poor kids. "In the end" (haha Nu-trap) music gains more varaition so it is all good. I'm just overreacting to this new hype. :)

  • Djent is a wigger chigger term, and djent music is played by wiggers and niggers like Misha

  • @JamesGod08 You know what? I've seen some troll comments, and usually laugh, but that's the more ignorant thing i've heard. Fuck off you yob.

  • Funny! I loved the "djent vocals"

  • Hell ya getting some minor swing in there

  • i can appreciate this video :)

  • that violin sounds better then my 8 string..unbefuckinglievable

  • thats what im talking about

  • Lovely intro song. Django Reinhardt is now associated with djent.

    2nd best jazz guitarist ever.

  • This is a great video. Fuck the haters

  • @DrumBum561 Thank you, sir!

  • That tone sounds like fucking dogshit.

  • @CasationChronicles AKA "Djent Tone" ...It's part of the joke boss.

  • I didn't hear a single djent chord anywhere in this vid. As far as I know, it doesnt djent.

  • @XXxESPxXX The Telecaster was a "Djent chord". Might not look it, but he was playing 4 strings.

  • @XXxESPxXX You didn't hear a "djent" chord because "djent" is the tone of which is produced from a SINGLE note or a CHORD. So notes and chords are irrelevant to if it "djents" or not. Ex. Meshuggah's new track has a tritone in the beginning and that's the sickest "djent" tone I've heard since Destroy Erase Improve. We wouldn't have this problem if Misha wouldn't have tainted Shuggah's tone. Blasphemy.

  • I thought it was pretty funny, the djent vocals especially. People need to just chill out and enjoy things.

  • My IQ has dropped watching this. Kill yourselves.

  • @olli873 I love you

  • lol nice music room

  • troll jokes+djent= FORMULA OF LIFE PEOPLE FUCK YEAH

  • Lol why are people hatin this is hilarious

  • djent cello for the win!!

  • Hahaha, You just put Django Reinhardt to the shit!

  • I laughed pretty hard at this :D Great vid, loved it!

  • Comment removed

  • @wpmtpm Honestly, while I don't really enjoy Djent as a "genre" of metal, a lot of the players are pretty fantastic guitarists, Nolly from Red Seas Fire and Misha from Periphery are both very technically skilled players outside the confines of 'djent'.

  • You're a tool dude. Declining since the 80's? Do you live under a rock? Stop trying to act like a music historian.

  • @Harrymfink Instead of calling me names tell me why you think i am a tool and as far as a historian of music ....I am not but i do know what i heard in the 80's and what i hear now and i standby what i said earlier so tell me in your words what you know about 80's metal and this djent shit you are defending if you cant then shut up simple as that.

  • Thomas Haake, Matt Halpern, Travis Orbin, Tosin Abasi, Navene Koperweis, Misha Mansoor, Chimp Spanner, Pete Peterson ect... All of these individuals are much more skilled with their instruments than any 80's metal bands I can conjure up. Granted this does not mean the music is better since taste in music is subjective emotional response. So if your saying that your emotional response to modern music has declined that isn't a fact your just a bigoted. If it's musicianship your just wrong.

  • @Harrymfink lol, no.

  • Well I'm stumped. You pose a great argument..

  • @Harrymfink Honestly what guitarist today in this genre of music has actually done something with guitar playing that has completely turned guitar playing upside down i can name a few from my genre that right there should end this debate .

  • The guy, or guys, that started it all, Fredrick Throdendal and Thomas Haake. Totally changed the landscape of metal music by focusing on cold, technical, percussive music. I mentioned some musicians earlier that have similar capabilities but its not this kind of music. Your comment was "metal has declined." This has nothing to do with who's the best but if its going somewhere and it is. I feel the same pleasure as you listening to this and the musicality is light years from 80's music.

  • @Harrymfink I stand by metal declining being a guitar player myself i feel by hearing some of the new metal that not a lot of creativity in song writing as bands of yore to me it all sounds the same.

  • @wpmtpm you sir, are fucking retarded. Don't speak about what you don't now about.

  • @guitarsean101 First off spell know properly second don't insult and call names third what is your argument? and finally what do you know (spelled correctly) that i don't about what i am talking about? please wow me with your knowledge.

  • @wpmtpm The technicality of metal, specifically "Djent" (which by the way is not a genre. It's a guitar tone) has has increased tenfold since the 80's. What this guy is playing in this video is in no way an example of great modern guitar playing. He's joking. Grammar Nazi bro? You're a joke. Learn about modern metal and music people call "Djent" before you assume that the guitar players lack playing skills.

  • @wpmtpm Metal has declined? Go listen to Between The Buried and Me.....please

  • @wpmtpm i can play a lot of stuff from the 80s because technically, its REALLY easy. you may not like the sound and it seems youre a little butthurt, but this modern day "djent" shit is a lot harder to play technically. neither are extremely hard, but look at songs like zyglrox by periphery. they didnt have anything like that in the 80s.

  • @wpmtpm Are you really saying that bands like Meshuggah and Periphery are untalented bands? I hope i understanded that one wrong.

  • Djent is such an unbelievably gay name for an even incredibly gayer guitar style

  • Lmfao. These kids can't take a joke. I honestly thought it was fucking hilarious when you started playing Icarus Lives.

  • If your gonna make a so called "djent" video, atleast use the djent chord. Because, if u did ur research you know that djent is an onomatopoeia of a 4 noted power chord. -biggest face palm ever-

  • @DeadpoolofSaDclan We're acutely aware of that, that's part of the joke. We're basically poking fun at what "Djent" is and how people argue over the details of it.

  • Nice tesseract clip. Lol fail

  • stupid and waste of time...

  • rofl

  • lmfao the periphery part with the big bass made me histerical

  • And that's exactly the facial expressions that I make when I listen to Stengah.

  • djenius :D xD

  • yes it djents!

  • why the hell did i turn my music of for this

  • SUNRISE and ICARUS LIVES!

  • was this funny

  • awesome lolz

  • biggest waste of life. ever.

  • @TheLifeShredder U mad bro?

  • @wulfman15 I ain't even.

  • What Bareknuckle pickups are best for djent? And do any of the Bareknuckle pickups do metalcore justice?

  • @BrettLockery war pigs

  • @BrettLockery no you can only use them for djent....i think this video stated it pretty clearly

  • @BrettLockery I like aftermath's

  • @batterdornaments you mad bro?

  • That was hilarious. Icarus and Stengah at the end... I thought I was dying

  • How low is that guitar Drop U?

  • @Catlookinjeans close. Drop U#

  • fucking hilarious

  • I didden even know Epi ever made a Tele copy.

  • 0:40 wtf man

  • This is dumb as fuck.

  • Bkp goes in, djent comes out...

    YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN THAT

  • I love how you guys played Django Reinhardt. :D

  • That is the question.

  • 2:40 Seems legit.

  • minor swing if the fuckin shit man, DJANGO FTW

  • Oh yeah, the single coil was bright and had a lot of presence on its own. But it was also noisy as fuck! lol

That upright bass was actually being played (though I wasn't playing that song) If I were to play the raw footage, I was indeed playing notes, so that it looked for sure that I was playing it.

  • Is it just me or did the Single Coil do better than the ESP?

    The Violin demolished the rest!

And, Cello? Was it actually being played?

  • hahahahaha lol.

  • Poop

  • Question....... Since when does Epiphone make a Tele?

  • @TravestyTheBand That I do not know. But for being a low end axe, it plays pretty darn nice.

  • teh djentz

  • hey just so you know, djent is awful.

  • that violin is the sickest metal machine in the fucking world. \m/

  • Wow, djent? really? playing out of time, and off isnt cool, if it was, there would be more covers, turning treble up, and splitting a humbucker while another one is all the way on, will give you djenty tone, friggin stupid question, i am sorry chaps, fail

  • @thetobarmethod

Wanna try re-typing that in a manner that makes a shred of sense?

  • @SteeleInd I think what he was trying to say was "I totally missed the joke!" ;)

  • @wulfman15

Yeah, I'm thinking so, too. Pretty tough to decipher that moonspeak dialect he was using, though. Haha

  • OH YEAH JAM THAT ICARUS ON DAT CHELLO!

  • @bloodfang100 Bass.

  • @Bebopopotamus Baritone.

  • lol, you should of tried the tv in the backround

  • @batteredornaments HAHAHAHAHA!!! Funniest troll comment yet! You win an internet! By the way, your wealth of quality uploads are SO much better than mine. Have a nice life chav. <3

  • @batteredornaments Those guys are trying to get fun man... And this is funny and original. Can you understand it?

  • You guys need a fucking tv show.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha the celo is fucking hilarrious

  • what is djent?

  • @boezehexe There's a wikipedia article on it, it describes both aspects of it very well.

  • song at the violin part?

  • @GregTehGoose Sunrise by Tesseract

  • epiphone telecaster? wtf?

  • @DYZSYX That's what I said when I saw it. He picked it up cheap at a local store. Actually plays really nice.

  • This actually has a lot of potencial. You can create a youtube show with this name where you take pop or country songs and play Djent guitar over it and tell people to vote thumb up if it djented. Just and idea.

  • @Andrexthor If we didn't live 5 hours apart we'd do more. Also, we'd have to come up with some really funny ideas.

  • Song at 2:28? Dear lord.

  • @JamesKernaghan92 Icarus lives by Periphery. Check out their music video for it!

  • I know this video was made for a joke, but if those are your best Djent riffs, why do you live? And what do you do with all of that gear?

  • @xProtestTheBradx The guitars djent just fine - we don't. Neither I nor Randy play that kind of music. I play melodeath, and he was a bass player in a prog band. We were just fucking around. There was literally no thought put into the riffs. xD You can see his bass rig on the left, one guitarists rig (which we're playing through) the general PA rig (With power outlets), and the other guitarits' rig. The violin was his singers (It's a cheapo), and the cheap upright Bass is Randy's as well.

  • @wulfman15 This is understandable.

  • Dude the BKP in that standupbass was so djenty it played DRUMS too. DRUMS NIGGA. DRUMS.

  • winning

  • ya blew it! capiche?

  • I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but the intro music is Mattias IA Eklundh. Look that nigga up.

  • @strappingyounglad1 no its not! it is django rhineheardt - a minor melody

  • @fizzlefresh14 You are correct, sir. Mattias' cover is pretty badass though!

  • But will it blend?

  • If there's anyway you can do more 'will it djent?' videos with more guitars and other instruments please do! This video oscillated between interesting, humorous and really useful!

  • Now make one for Djun, Chugga, and/or Widdley.

  • @AeonsOfFrost Don't forget meedly meeeee!

  • @wulfman15 /watch?v=3CoIgQ4ZeKc

  • I think majority of the likes were to the djentified vocals.

I liked the video for that part too.

  • @TessiturA1995 Probably. Gotta save the best for last ;) I'm still surprised I did it in one take without laughing my ass off because of how absurd it was.

  • @wulfman15 Dude I would have been laughing my ass off to the point where I just can't imitate it anymore. But then be all serious and imitate it legitimately. Then laugh my ass off while watching it.

  • @TessiturA1995 I will say, though, that I was laughing my ass off at the thought of it, and had to calm myself to actually record it. xD

  • @wulfman15 LOL nice

  • Nice Django!

  • this is fantastic

  • ugly audio! for musical thing u should get a microphone

  • Sorry, that purple guitar had aids. Never again in my life.

  • @TheCommonDeceit george lynch is disappoint. xD

  • @wulfman15 Good video though that guitar was hideous man. Who in their right mind would get that?

  • @TheCommonDeceit It's a vinyl sticker. The guy that manufactures them sent one to Randy to test and review it's quality. He decided to make a crazy looking one out of his $200 LTD for shits and giggles

  • gold xD

  • Worst tone i have ever heard.

  • @defeiticeira AKA Djent tone into a point-and-shoot camera mic! Woo!

  • Periphery violin fail

  • A dsr with russian fighter jet tubes...godly

  • The question should be "can he djent?" because most of "djent" comes from the player and their picking technique ;)

  • @psychostew911 Deer god don't try and mention that on a guitar forum if you want to live! xD haha

  • @wulfman15 not true, you have to mute after you pick, so the sound has natural sustainability but is abruptly ended...look it up, and watch the meshuggah lesson (watch their technique)

  • all i see is burgers goin djent!!

  • spoiled rich kids

  • @atown1414tbs It was in a studio with 6 musicians worth of gear. U mad?

  • @atown1414tbs i have tions of music equpiment...and i am the opposite of rich...its weird, when you spend money...you dont have money...its like that how the world work or something..

  • @atown1414tbs All that stuff looks pretty low-end.

  • I'm sorry, but I hate this vid. It's pointless and makes me feel bad deep inside whilst watching it.

  • @lifeleech Cool story bro!

  • I swear he looks like Misha Mansoor. Lol

  • @NotTheFaceBro not at all

  • fail at copying mathias eklundh

  • PAHAHA XD violin

  • no it didnt. but it did suck horribly

  • @weerpool14 Congrats! :yesway:

  • @weerpool14 Can you play Periphery on cello? Didn't think so.

  • love da folk music :)

  • I make those exact same faces when listening to Stengah.
