The second is that this guy has a good voice, but he hides it behind the reverb and it sounds distant in the non-chorus parts of the song.
This song is about dealing with a woman's insecurity in a relationship. It's a ballad that re insures of her lover's sincerity and devotion. Just sing it., you can do it without effects.

I really need this song right now me and the future mrs just had a heated fight and we promised each other we would NEVER go go to bed angry and I know I am partially to blmame so hearing this song puts me in a better mind frame . we do not get to see each other as we would like and that is the strain and I am trying to get myself better by getting out of the situation I was in before so I think we should be able to live together but everybody is saying no

This dude must be David Pack's identical twin,LOL!!! However,Pack's composition recorded by Ambrosia will always be the best. Matt Shelly's rendition sounds a lot like Pack's 2005 remake which was from Pack's album THE SECRET OF MOVING ON. Like I said,Ambrosia's 1980 recording will always be the best.
