its a light source of some kind. it changes shape and direction consistant with a light source eminating from somewhere between the camera position and to the right of the frame. Every surface it moves over changes its shape, speed and movement accordingly.
As someone who works with CGI I deal with this all the time when moving light sources around.
of course I could be wrong but it looks very familiar.
I'm kinda insulted these people think audiences would fall for such a cheap trick
no dickheads its not dust it's a flash light, you can see the light when it passes the wooden beam at 0:27 it clearly bends... its just simply someone running a flash light down the wall..
What makes Ghost Hunters the most popular show of it's kind on television? Maybe it's all the "proof" they get. Imagine the odds of catching an apparition on camera. Would the camera even work properly in the presence of one. TAPS needs it's T.V. show to have some credibility so, ironically, they give it less by faking encounters, misrepresenting footage, and misinterpreting "evidence".
I see what you're saying. I noticed something wrong when I watched the beginning of your video. I thought it was dust, as most "orbs" are. This is clearly a light source. Most camcorders are capable of "seeing" the IR light source of such things as remote controls and infra red thermometers. Try it. Record your TV remote pointing to the camera, you'll see the LED flashing, or just lit up, however your eyes can't see it without help.
Then I noticed it does in fact get larger as it crosses over the wall edges that are closer to the camera.
The other thing is that if someone was standing there with the camera surely it would take hours of just standing there waiting for something to happen.
This was staged and it is indeed a lazer pen.
it's not an orb. Orbs move in a 3 dimensional motion. This anomaly is clearly a
2 dimensional image being projected onto the walls and stairs. Poorly
Its funny how dust, smoke and other airborne things captured on film are called orbs and ghosts. As an experienced bulb photographer (nightime long exposure)you come to know what causes these things as normally they are something that you don't want in your image unless you are trying to fake ghost photo's. I have yet to see one thing that can make me wonder, even for a second....
All still shots I see of ghosts I can recreate in 5 mins...
Dust.

You debunked a piece of dust with your annotated video and clever observations. Impressive... Dont you have anything better to do?

i say dust. look it gets brighter in the center of the frame and is faded at the top and bottom. this is the ir light reflecting on dust.
