The problem with why we aren't winning any medals is because our athletes don't get as much attention from the Canadian Government. If they were to invest money for our athletes like the Americans do, we would be kicking ass. Some of the Canadian athletes go to college or university and they only train when they have the time. They need to focus on their training only and maybe Canada can give them scholarships when they win. We have to act soon before we disgrace ourselves in Vancouver 2010.
well somewhat but also were over represented in the olympics. if the states sent the same number of athletes per capita as the Canadians, they would be sending over 1000 people. First off we need to improve our funding but also improve our standards. If we send someone over and they break a canadian record and a personal best and STILL come 7th then why send them? For the experience of doing their very best and getting beat that bad? its not worth it. spend less money sending and more training
Well said. I just hope that the country and government get the message when it's the closing ceremony and we don't even have any medals. People will protest and changes will hopefully be made.
It's so disappointing they still haven't won a medal! :( Even my home country Ukraine won a few medals. But whatever, I'm sure many Canadians are still proud of our athletes, they're working extremely hard and are doing something that none of us are able to do. They'll win a medal soon enough though.

Apparently this video failed to inspire ANY of the Canadian athletes, as they have 0 medals.
Maybe we can loan you one of our 44.
