  • one recommendation that I would make to you, it after you trim the bottom of your candle, but before you dip it in lacquer, try setting it on a hot, flat surface (such as an electric skillet) and spin it around 5-6 times really quickly. This will ensure you have a perfectly flat and stable bottom to your candle. Then use your finishing dip like you normally would. Other than that, great effort and I really enjoyed watching your design take shape. Keep up the great candle work!!

  • Hi I have been making moulded candles for some time but would like to have a go at the carving the trouble is can you tell me where can i get the multiple diping pots or can I use a standard wet bain marie, the type you get in catering caravans and also the hardener you use at the end.   • I love this method, and am interested in getting into it for a hobby and a little christmas cash, but so far everything is sooo expensive, and in this area the pricing of the candle would exceed the demand for it. Is there a specific place that you get your supplies from that is cost efficient? BTW...this is the most beautiful use of peach and sage colors I have ever seen. It really reminds me of a beautiful flower!
