  • One of, if not the first, Country music video.

  • This was the last song Buck ever sang, live on stage at the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield the evening before he passed away. This video was WAAAAYY ahead of its time! Buck did a handful of these, on film like a mini-movie. I wonder if he got the idea from the Beatles' "promo" films for Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, etc.? There was only 1 Buck Owens, and I'm proud to have known him.

  • Thank-you for putting this song of Buck Owens on YOUTUBE, this is my favorite songs of his. Buck Owens was True Country Music. :)

  • Love it, have to go to Vegas!

  • thanks for the memories Buck

  • Man this is what real music is and not that watered down shit we got now.

  • i could easily exchange the word vegas for texas!

  • one of my all time favorite Buck Owens songs. A devastating loss to country music- there'll never be another one like Buck!

  • My favorite Buck Owens tune- thanks for posting.

  • 460bigtime u just took the words right out of my mouth although i wouldnt have put it quite that strongly

  • George W. ??? Is it you???

  • Its a crime that there is only a little over sixty k views on this. I bet rascal fucking flats "worst video" has over a million hits. I'm ashamed of most of the music put out these days. Just cookie cutter bullshit from ppl that can't sing unless its filtered by a computer first. Fuck you Justin beiber. I hope you fail worse then every ex-singer on celiberty rehab.

  • @460bigtime i play bucks music all the time....! to hell with this modern country music.

  • @usaf317 Same here...I only play Bocephus, Conway, Possum, Wactosha, Travis and Loretta etc. Never listen to anything new hardly. I do however like Jamey Johnson a heck of alot.

  • Buck's best. A great singer he was. Buck has to me always sounded quite a bit like The Possum but without the nasal sound. Man, I sure do love those old Hee Haw episodes with him and Roy.

  • Nothing fancy. He just stands there, sings and touches your soul. RIP Buck

  • CLASSIC IN THE TRUEST DEFINITION OF THE WORD!

  • This was the last song Buck ever sang on stage.

  • he is one of the best this is real country music

  • takes me back when i was little and my dad listin 2 this song and my mom in the kitchen frying chicken.....good times!!!!!!

  • This is TRUE country music, unlike MOST of today.

  • Buck made it Big everywhere. and still does in our hearts. Thanks for posting, couldn't find this anywhere.

  • SUPER!

    Thanks for posting.

  • Buck is one of the greats. Vince Vaughn (the actor) will forever have my respect for giving Buck his due on that HBO comedy special tour he did.

  • love it we need more bucks but country went to shit anyway check me out it very raw but its real thanks

  • @waynescountry you are so right..now these days it aint country

  • one of our favorite songs-i miss you buck!

  • buck did not write this song

  • buck did not write this song

  • great song great voice

  • Awesome

  • Buck was one of the best ever and very under appreciated as a songwriter (along with Don Rich). Thanks so much for sharing this with us all. I have never seen this version only the one from Hee-Haw which is also very well done.

  • this is a old sound but a good one ..

  • SUCH A DEEP SONG FIVE STARS .

  • i wonder if travis tritt got his "where corn don't grow" idea from this song.

  • "Where Corn Don't Grow" was written by Roger Murrah and someone else and was originally recorded by Waylon Jennings.

  • Thanks for the info.

I should have looked it up, but i do think this has a "where corn don't grow" sound and feel to it.

    travis tritts version.

  • They're both great songs - that's for sure!

  • This goes to show that music videos have been around for a LONG time.

    Unfortunately, they either didn't have

the money, or didn't know that music

    videos would be "in".

  • Didn't know this was written by singer Terry Stafford until now. Always liked Stafford and Buck...well, now Buck..

he's the king of Bakersfield and Western style country. He's my guy , hard to fill his shoes since he has let us. Both of you will Never be forgotten.

  • I miss listening to you Buck with my Grandad.

  • i no how you feel my grandpa died in 07 and this was his favorite song

  • Love it....idgoback

  • the new band I joined plays a cover of this one...didn't even know ol'Buck did this one till I did some researchin''...GOOOOD stuff...thanks

  • I stand in line with all of you saying, "This is one of my favorite BucK songs".

  • this is my favorite song his. i don't know why but it reminds me of my brother. and one of hte lst times i saw buck, he looked a lot like my cousin Billy. miss you buck

  • I had no idea Buck made a video of this song way back then. Look how young he was! A great song by one of the greatest talents in C&W history. My Dad used to have this stuff crankin' when I was itty-bitty. It musta took, I love it still... Thanks for sharing this!

  • I never heard this song before. It just isn't played on the country music stations available to me, although a lot of Buck's other songs are. I'm glad, though, that I got to see the video with the song first as I find it really adds to the song's impact.

  • is gac still around?

  • Love this song too. I wish somebody would also put "Put Another Quarter In The Juke Box" by Buck on here.

  • Great song. My favorite Buck Owens tune.

  • Buck was one of my Favorite artists and this song shall never be forgotten. God Bless his Soul

  • Great song of Buck Owens. I use to be in his fan club. He was always great. Thanks for putting this one on.

  • this is my favorite song of Buck Owens.

thank-you for putting this song on here. :)

  • WOW! I don't know what year this is, I was born in '71 myself but, this HAS to be one of the first music videos. WAY ahead of its time.

  • He was awesome at the palace singing this song...from the boys at Ariey pools.

  • If i am not mistaken, it was done in 1968.

  • By far, this is my favorite Buck Owens song. He was an amazing singer; one of country music's greatest!

  • Mine too I love it . Big In Vegas makes me think of Elvis.
