  • That's interesting. I don't necessarily agree with everything you stated. I'm still trying to figure out religion for myself. There are some Christian concepts I believe in, but the Jehovah Witness religion has also impacted me, as have other religions. Is it wrong to come up with one's own thesis? I think not. I don't need an authority figure to tell me about religion. I just believe what I feel is true and real.

  • I am not sure I think of God as an "authority". I will have to think about that one.

  • Think: Natural Law. The authority of gravity. Applied to matters of the spirit.

  • Christians, Muslims, atheists, rapists, politicians, tax collectors, Mother Teresa, Hitler, etc. all go back to the same God after it is all said and done. We all go back home.

  • Agreed.

  • On this particular subject especially how does one say that the people of Good Will are believers of what I believe in, without pronouncing to them that we share a god they do not believe exists, or do not believe exists for them? It's far too much for this medium.

  • Wow. It only took a year for me to see that you responded to my comment. Ha! I think you misunderstood my comment. My only objection was in your representation of those who do not believe. I think you made an unwarranted generalization of non-believers. I am sure that it was unintentional. You are one of those who taught me to recognize that the words I use shape the reality that I see. You are also one who I know has been hurt by generalizations about different aspects of who you are.

  • It has taken me until now to realize a simple issue behind our banter on this subject: To refer to "those who do not want to be with God" is not the same as referencing "those who do not believe in God." In fact, I was not including the latter in any of the options I reviewed.

Now, don't beat me up for discrimination!

    = ]

  • Okay, I guess it was I who misunderstood. Thanks for clearing that up for me sir.

  • Good video. If this were coming from anyone else I would, however, object to the generalization that 'those who don't want to be with god" are proud, messed up, or have problems with authority. Although those things could easily describe me, they have nothing to do with belief or disbelief in the supernatural.

Knowing you like I do I realize that you have the best of intentions, so I would just caution you not to be wary of alienating those who might hold different truths.

  • Because I do not script my vlogs, what I say is usually a reflection of belief with less detailed thought. That having been noted, you are right, of course: the way I said it in that instance left too much room for misinterpretation. However, unless my vlogs are going to quintuple in length, I don't know that I'll always cover the most important caveats.

  • Without commenting on the existence of God one way or the other, I agree that hell is something people put on themselves without any divine assistance.

  • *Sigh* If only I could hear that kind of peaceful closure from the rest of my friends in their endeavors.

    Miss you, Foxman.

  • love the qualifiers!

  • If God does exist as a conscence being and the after life is of the "western concept"; Then your vision of it makes sense and I will be there happily :). - Gassho
