that sometimes works if the guys shooting is a pussy- he will get scared and panic and miss- then get creamed- but i cant tell you how many times ive shot with a d-pole charging me and then get laid out. The d-pole gets his 2 seconds of OOO's and feels good untill he realized the OOO's arnt for him and the ball is in the back of the goal...

its only my first yeaer of lacrosse and I start as middi or defense, most recentley defensive and when I have to make my slide I get hit by fast balls all the time, a week ago I got hit by two in a row(shots), one in the shoulder and one wheres theres no padding on my arm after the second ball hit me I kept playing it without stopping and was able to pick it up and pass to one of my middis
