  • Good filming dude. what camera did you use?

  • and we did have the tornado g4 for like 2 years and tht the only reall fighter jets we've had :(

  • we need something like a FA/18 hornet...to give a little bit more spice cos each year its like the smae planes part from 1 or 2 differant ones. spike was red arrow 1 in 2006 i think , i spoke to him on the phone and i got to stand in the vip area , and when the helicopter landed with red 10 i got to go in it :DD!! great vidoe btw

  • wow!

  • Superb video from last year, I was there Thurs. which was shite but Fri. was much better. At least the airshow is free this year but if the organisers can't bring back the military fast jets such as the F16, Harrier, Tornado and Mirage this year then it will sadly be yet another disappointing diluted airshow. The organisers couldn't even get the RAF Police Dog Display Team last year for the ground displays, a really poor effort by the powers that be.

  • The Typhoon is good but like you said,we need more fast jets.

  • Another very good film, when is the next airshow i would love to watch it from Beachy Head?

  • next eastbourne airshow is 13th to 16th of august 2009

  • Thanks for that ive put it in my diary!

Where did that 747 come from?

    Happy Christmas!

  • that was very great! adding on my fav

  • Great filming, superb location. Keep meaning to turn up there myself one day, such a nice outlook.

  • Brilliant i was disappointed with the view from the beach, it was my first visit to Airbourne looks like i will be heading to Beachy Head if i go this year. Just imagine the Vulcan flying round beachy head if she gets flying.

  • I have to agree and say that it was not as good as previous years but it was good to see all the old favorites. the 747 was a nice suprise too. I've been to this event about 10 years in a row and it would be a great shame for it to stop.

  • N1cks0an Sadly i agree with you this year was not as good as previous years and sadly might bring on its demise it has been a truely great event in the local calander and we would miss it, as a town so lets hope it stays with a New sponser. The town needs to keep this event going!!!

  • Yes but i am extremely sad to say this but i think next year might be the last one. This is due to the main sponsor pulling out. But come on be honest was it was good as last years??? With the tornado and the harrier. And what about the jaguar. Was it really as good as it was or has it now died out?

  • It is a great event.

Friends from London have been down three years running. We watch from my roof near the tower block on Saturday and take a picnic to Beachy Head on the Sunday.

I am leaving Eastbourne this month for foreign parts (flying Hong Kong Oasis!). I shall miss it.

Nice little film by the way. Really captures the atmosphere atop Beachy Head.

    Nic

  • Brilliant piece of filming. Thanks.

  • Its the biggest free airshow in the world, and one definatly worth making the trip to see, i live 5 miles away and go every day of every year and never get tired of it, the displays are just like they are at a conventional airshow, the only difference being is that the aircraft dont land and takeoff at eastbourne but rather fly in, the flight line being 100m or so from the sea shore. Airbourne 2008 you will not be disappointed!

  • When the red arrows flew to eastbourne they went straight over my house, In formation it was amazing. I live in hastings and go every year. It is great.

  • That was brilliant. We were also at Beachy Head and were amazed at how low the 747 flew. Shame we missed the Hurricane.... absolutely fabulous.

  • The Hurricane pilot was a real star,he certainly new how to entertain the crowd.

  • That was great! We sat on the sea front, next year we will definitely sit on Beachy Head, what a great view!

  • The trouble is the display line on the sea front is too far away, the bonkers conkers safety inspectors keep pushing it furthar away from the crowd each year.Watching from Beachy Head is like how airshows used to be years ago.

  • great view from there - impressive

  • Yep its a good place to watch from, the only hassle is its always very windy up on Beachy Head making filming tough.
