hey u guys can yall give me a little help ok i have an older go kart and every time i press the gas pedal it gets stuck so the throttle gets stuck and i have to pull the gas pedal up manually with my foot so basically i can only ride the throttle all the way down or full throttle and its kinda annoying but would greasing it help? thanks

my go kart has a 5hp briggs with a stroker kit so its not a stock motor

Hook that misplaced wire you found to a killswitch grounded to the engine. No more pullin the choke to kill it

i could do burnouts on the grass but i cant do donuts since it takes off on 1 wheel and would stay skidding on one spot... tomorrow i'll try and see what i can do..

You should hold a GPS while driving it to see how fast its going.

yeah i was thinking the same thing.. would need to have it in my pocket.. that thing requires both hands at high speeds.

I did it with the GPS in my pocket and the max speed i got to was 37.4mph before i ran out of road. If I had a longer road to test on i could get 40mph+..

I tell ya... this thing as torque!

hehe yesterday i raced it against some friends that have pocket bikes. i pushed it as far as i was willing to go and that engine wanted more and it has tons of torque!..

where i drive it is a private area and has speed bumps so the pocket bikes beat me because i had to slow down because its a go kart and it has 0 suspension. I'll make a video of where i drive it and tell what happen i did yesterday.

ah ok cool so now i have an idea of how much HP it has.

its looks about the size of a 5.0-6.5 hp engine, my 5.5 honda is fast too and i just got a 13 hp honda! yay time for wheelies when its finished!!

it might have cut out over the bump because its a carb'd motor.

it was an internal kill switch that turned on and got stuck on active. we turned that stuck kill switch into a way to turn off the engine. set it up to a botton.

haha yeah that thing accelerates fast once it moves about 10ft.. dont know how much HP that engine is and top speed is unknown.. but it feels fast.
