I don't support this ban. 1. You can't stop it, for every one taken down, another 10 pops up. we are failing as much as this war against online gambling as much as we failed at the Vietnam war. 2. how can we track it? 3. these casino owners need to stop whining about these online gambling sites, one, we are "supposedly" capitalist. which means competition is allowed. these casino owners are soiling the very FOUNDATION of the US constitution.
The problem with online gambling is the lack of tax revenue it generates for the countries of the players. As anyone who goes broke gambling generally becomes a financial burden to the state, then I fully understand (and support) the US ban.
The US govt. allows its people more freedom (including the right to defend themselves) than any other country. I don't think a govt. that values individual freedom and liberty so highly would impose this ban without good reason.
Perhaps they don't want their citizens being ripped off?

The one and only issue i find myself in disagreement with Buchanan. I totally see his point in that gambling for hours in front of a computer screen has no positive effect for society, instead potentially very negative ones, and it also transfers our wealth outside the US. And let's face it, internet gambling has ruined lives. But this is america, if we want to gamble we should be able to. This is one of those issues where he should personally condemn it but not enforce his views on others.
i make my income from online poker,as that being said that money is being put into the economy when i spend money for normal living expences sure there are ppl who lose money but that dosent mean ppl like me who make the majority of there income from this should be punished
Pat's only reason to ban online gambling is because it destroys homes? Listen, if somebody wants to destroy his financial life, that's his right. So now the Government wants to dictate what we do with our time and money? Sons of bitches.
He is wrong here, how can you be for small government, personal responsibility but not the right to gamble YOUR MONEY away? Its yours - Pat would be going crazy with a left-winger tried to "claim" your money with higher taxes.
What Buchanan is saying is quite true, of course. But do not be fooled: Buchanan is Knights of Malta, just like the Rockefellers. Remember what Albert Pike said: "We give you your leaders", that is, you are given conmen who tell you what you want to hear.
When people want something, whether it's gambling, booze, drugs or prostitution, they'll always find a way of getting it. History has taught us that the best way to deal with so-called "vice" is to legalize it, regulate it and tax it.
And Pat Buchanan is definitely not a neocon! More like a paleocon -- as in "paleolithic"!
just fuuckin tax it you mafia mother fuckers! i rather have gotti running this country than these faggot christian zealots obstructing my right to do soemthing on an internet thats not even theirs!
I'm surprised at this. I agree with Pat on almost everything he says. Pat has a strong libertarian streak in him. I hate how neo-cons want to impose their "values" on other people.
Wow, I love Pat but boy was he off on this one. Pretty amazing that such a trivial issue no one believed would pass in Congress is now the law of the land.
kneelbeforezodd, how ignorant can you be? I'm a Libertarian - I disagree with Pat on this issue too, but you've said some extremely stupid things about him that everyone knows is bullsh*t. Calling Pat a neocon Republican is like calling Al Sharpton a KKK member.
1. Pat isn't a Republican. He isn't pushing for the Republican base - he's an independent. So stop calling him a republican. He hates those neoconservative morons as much as everyone else.
2. How is he using online gambling to ignore the "real" issues? If you look at the opening of the video YOU uploaded you'd see the topic is online gambling.
3. Pat disagrees strongly with the Republican party on issues dealing with foreign policy. He STRONGLY disagrees with both the US going into Iraq and the US overwhelming support for Israel in the recent hezbollah attack.
Wow...what a fair interview. I disagree with Pat and he makes a lot of good points about what's wrong with republicans today (I'm more of a libertarian than he is, not a traditionalist), but this is one of the most one sided discussions I've ever seen. The guy has the nerve to claim Pat is for the gambleing at the end of the segment even when he clearly was just arguing against it. Pretty pathetic

Pat's right all the time but on this issue I'd rather see online gambling ok but no casinos in my state.
