basically how tax cuts work, is that it benifits everyone. but it does help the rich alittle more, but not becasue rep. are "evil" but because the more money you spend,the more money you get back. now since the rich spend more money on obivious things (vacations,cars,homes,ect.) they get more money back, but at the same time they are spending more money and fueling the economy too. some people that do nothing with themselves and just want the gov. to give them everything are the ones that hateit

In my view, we need to get congress to reign in spending. Their pork-barrel spending is out of control, and both sides are guilty of feeding from the troff. We should demand spending limits before we impose any more taxes on the producers.

According to the IRS, the top 1% of wage-earners pay 40% of the burden (while only earning 22% of the country's income), the top 5% pay 37%, the top 25% pay 68%, and the top 50% pay 97%. In other words, the bottom half of workers pay virtually no income taxes. It's impossible to cut their taxes because they don't pay any. Facts are stubborn things.

While "the top 1%" as you put it will continue to eat caviar and drink champagne, for some people it is a choice between paying taxes and having enough to eat. Just a thought.

Apparently you didn't fully read the comment. The bottom 50% of wage-earners pay virtually NO income taxes. So the notion that the poor have to choose between paying their taxes and eating is a complete farce because the poor don't pay any taxes. Again, the top 1% currently pay for a whopping 40% of the federal tax burden (this figure has INCREASED since Bush's tax cuts, so you should be thanking him). How much higher do you want their burden to be? Please tell me.
