  • I'm surprised to see any of The Honey's music on here. Even better is seeing this very rare picture sleeve. Thank you for posting.

  • true shit bro

  • Diane is by far the prettiest.

  • This was awfully cute, can't believe it didn't rate more attention - did it at least get air play on AM Radio in those days? What other songs did they do? Did they have any records out that charted?

  • @JohnnyGNV They didn't have any records that charted on any national Billboard chart.

  • Reliable Russian dating site here gettop5.info

  • is great the song oh! Brian W ilson is Genius!

  • surf girls

  • Yo, gefällt mir sehr... tthank you for ul .

woher habt ihr die alten Ampex Bänder??

  • P.S. Only Marilyn was married .. to Brian. Dianne Rovell, her little-sister (above, centre) was mighty pretty tho, & BW ended-up having a kinda 'life-long crush' on her, too. The group pre-existed in their own right before BW entered the scene, via the famous 'hot chocolate incident' w/ Marilyn. Most of their songs were written by BW & his good buddy Gary Usher .. the producers varied from BW, Nick Venet & GU. Their 1963/64 songs were VG. In the late 60s, as "American Spring", they resurfaced.

  • @colindominyNot only did Brian have a long time crush on Diane ,he had a short time love affair with her.Marilyn knew about it and said Better my sister at least i know shes not going to take him away from me..I read it in one of those Beach boys Bio books.I thought Diane was older thenMarilyn?Peace,Desiree

  • @Desiree50 : many thanks & the kindest regards to you for your comments & added, extra very-interesting 'juicy' data re BW & Dianne Rovell !!

  • A magnificent one of those lovable, & boundary-breaking 'quirky' adaptations by BW .. that he was probably more well-known for (as mainly unreleased-pure-gems) later in the 60s. He was a man who was not afraid to 'break barriers' & to 'flout existing norms' (like every other musical genius in histroy). This is a fabulous song by Brian, customised for his wife Marilyn's little group & their own style. Yes - the BBs did do the background support-harmonies / vocals.

    V. rare BW song, V.G. post !!

  • Thanks for your very informative information!

  • So here's the story: Brian Wilson did marry Marilyn...she is the one on the left but they are now divorced...you can hear Brian's voice in the background and he produced all of their tunes

  • This is a great tune. I don't have the picture sleeve. It's very rare!

  • yes i believe they are the wives of a few of the beach boys....at least thats what a seller of this 45 record thought....very rare record think it sold for over 600.00 dollars

  • No you're off I don't know where you got your info Marilyn was Brain Wilson's wife and Diane and Ginger didn't marry the other boys

  • Brian wilson sites stephen foster as an influence also george gershwin also phil spector [steve douglas played sax on phil spector records and the honeys][steve douglas said iN an interview THAT HE PRODUCED BLUE CHEER ?].

  • @coolsweetgroovy unless I am misunderstanding your post but you are wrong about Marilyn she was married to Brian Wilson, they are also the parents of Carnie, and Wendy Wilson.

  • @catsmeow33 I think you goofed I was trying to explain to someone that only Marilyn married Brian while Diane and Ginger didn't date the other Beach Boys

  • @ coolsweetgroovy I figured I misread your post, and that you knew Marilyn was Brians wife, that is why I had written that I may have misunderstood what you were trying to say. Thanks so much :)

  • I just asked on another video you posted for this group if they were the Honeys consisting of Marilyn Wilson and two others. Now I know that they are, because I had heard OF this song but hadn't heard it before just now, and I know it's the Honeys I was asking about. I'd always been curious about this song, so thanks for posting it.

  • You're welcome! I read on one website about the Honeys that the Beach Boys are backing them up on this record. I haven't confirmed this though, does anyone know?

  • The beach boys did south bay surfer also based on swanee river brian wilson likes stephen foster.

  • @ILoveJenni47 It's Brian Wilson, Skip Taylor, and Gary Usher doing backing vocals
