It is surprising how many people cannot see the true meaning behind these words. What happen to the days when people were capable of reading between the lines, between the words, and not taking them at face value? Fast food? Overfishing? No, that is not what they are talking about in this song. It is about the music industry.

It has to do with the music industry, and how rappers and other artists get their music out super fast, to satisfy the masses. "Superfast, superfast, but come in last, but in time for breakfast." It refers to how they speed through their music, it ends up being garbage, but people are happy, so they don't care.

@elcamp3 Ironic that so many tracks on this album just seemed to be made in a hurry, not in regards to the time it took to make another album, but in regards to the fact that more than half of the songs on Plastic Beach are boring. I admit that I had to high hopes after Demon Days, but when Stylo, Superfast Jellyfish, Empire Ants and On Melancholy Hill are the only really good songs you begin to wonder if Damon could've done more. And why is Snoop Dogg on this album, that is just ridiculous.

Gorillaz is one of my favorite bands ever. Each album has a completely different feel. The first one felt spacious, open, and awkward. The second one was a blast of warmth and contempt while still throwing you out side for a bit but, bringing you back in time for dinner. This album has the same spacious and awkward feel as the first but, the warm sun on the plastic beach and the cornucopia of great guests sort of makes me feel like at an "A-list" party. Better, toke up a bit more...

Like for the first bit of the album it kinda sounds like Russell is doing his thing more, then in other songs it sounds like Noodle did her thing. Not so much 2-D and Murdoc.
