nice video, but you guys could of gone harder me and a couple friends took out my 33 ft hydrasport and were jumping it 5 ft out of the water on every wave, but how is the world cat? Its a 33 right? I was thinking about buying one
Worldcatlemon, never been in a worldcat but fished the shit out of 2660 prokat. Fairly good boat few cheap probs. 5 to 6 footers at 35 mph no probs. Will not consider worldcat now after all the trash talked about them the truth will get out. Also twin vee looks pretty good. Florida gulf.
@deepsouthpoints Not sure what trash talk you are referring to, but there are other cat companies that make a much better boat. Would love to look the boat over in the video and measure the stress cracks. Bet there's tunnel cracks as well!!! JMO
I would like to see the owner of World Cat, Andrew brown, take one of his diesel model boats out in a rough sea. I bet he wouldn't have the guts to do it because they are a death trap. How about it Andrew let's take a diesel ECS model out. We both know a guy in California that has one........I'll buy the fuel!Stay away from diesel model WC"s. World Cat warranty, in my opinion, is a worthless document that will cost owners even more money. Save money and don't buy the warranty.
Expostfactum, no the problem with the World Cat diesel model was a defective hatch design over the engines and EVC boxes that allowed water to be sucked into the turbos and drain over the electronic controls. The hatch is a 90 degree angle hatch that is not even close to being watertight. These sit on the swim section behind the rear bulkhead.
Just for the record....NMMA CERTIFICATION IS A JOKE. WC pays the NMMA membership dues and wham! The boat gets this worthless marketing stamp, and the consumer thinks it ensures a quality boat........NOT TRUE! Beware builders who make a big deal about NMMA CERTIFICATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was one one and i cant see why people buy deep Vs these handle awesome no matter what, and never pounds. we were going through barnaget inlet in a storm one time, and were hitting 5 foot caps in a 32 world cat, and i didnt think we were gonna make it, but that thing took em like a champ..... got about 1.4 wide open too....
Recently, met a guy from California who bought a brand new 2005 model diesel and he says he has had nothing but problems with the boat. He says his boat has been in the shop 10 times in the first 2 years, and WC has done near nothing to fix his boat, although he paid for the warranty. This guy says he can't take it out because it breaks down constantly. To me this is not a good situation, as I thought WC was a better company than that?

I do think they should have hit a few of those big waves just out side the break water. I think it would have made for a better video. I still like the video.
That would be a bad place for the engines to cut out! I could only imagine what the Barnegat Inlet looked like on that day! Boat definately handled well!

cats are cheap built but they can take waves like nothing

That World Cat probably ended up with stress cracks. Nice boats, but cheaply built like most cats.

@worldcatlemon this sounds like an engine problem, not a boat problem.

Those aren't big waves! That's a fairly calm sea in the Northwest. No question they ride well, but does the company stand behind their product?
