This piece is kind of selective after U watch the performance by Maxim Vengerov and Hilary Hahn . First, I need to say that Both of them has extremely virtuosic technique and stupendous interpretation. Again, I'm NOT saying that Hilary Hahn plays it bad. I say she plays really good. Actually, she is my violin idol. These two violinists' interpretations gives me selections because Maxim is trying to make ATTACK VOICE on Ysaye and Hilary Hahn plays sequentially fast and slow, which is PERFECT!
@robertslistening yeah I was wondering that too. Hilary, it would be great if you could add some Vivaldi to you repertoire. I think we would all love to hear it.
It's a shame that so little of Ysaye's music is known outside of violin circles. It deserves a wider audience. Hilary makes a good case for his music: she is exceptional.
When she plays anything with harmony in it...wow! Her pitch control is awesome. I was wondering if she plays Vivaldi at all. I just wanted to hear her rendition of Vivaldi spring, summer, autumn, or winter. I love "storm". Julia Fischer, Sarah Chang, Ann Marie Calhoun, Mari Samuelsen all play it beautifully. It may be a bit simple for Hilary's repertoire...Shostakovich, Schoenberg, Korngold, etc.
so great!! I became addicted to this piece through the same youtube video but at one point I couldn't find it on youtube anymore and here it is again, in HD too! thx!

I love her interpretation; it is not too over exaggerated like most violinists perform this piece.
