I can't believe i've been watching this show for nearly 10 years. It feels so much shorter. I wish it doesn't end. I just hope that Tom Welling gets the chance to play as Superman in the new Superman movie coming 2012.

Tom is so right! The show is definitely NOT the show it was in the beginning, and there was a huge shift between seasons 5 & 6. I know a lot has been said about this. That it shouldn't be called Smallville anymore but rather Metropolis or something like that. And most of these comments have been used to trash the show, but maybe they needed such a drastic change to keep Smallville interesting a relevant for 10 seasons!

the series didn't change until Lanna left during season 7. Once that happened there were only two original characters on the show, including Clark.
