You're acting like those are easy swaps, bro. Those v8s do require a ton of fabrication, and the electronics crap is disastrous. I'm doing a Cadillac 4.9 whenever I get some spare cash, good bang for the buck.
@MisterHolaMan to be honest is not that hard ,time consuming yes, the most expensive part i would say the transmission plate conversion and parts to a 5 or 6 speed manual. the wiring is easy to follow and do as long as you get a guide like hynes or chilton wiring diagrams, easy to get about 20 to 40 bucks on ebay. megasquirt pro about 700bucks with this took care of engine wise, then will come engine mounts if need it, brand new driveshaft. etc etc.
Those engines you speak of are all dohc. They are generally a lot harder because you need to butcher the sidewalls and reinforce the frame since they are so damn heavy. VH45 weighs over 500 lbs, which usually needs reinforcing to the old car frame too.
@MisterHolaMan for the VH45DE it fits but you will have barely room to fits yeah there is not gonna be too much room something about 55mm to the wheel arch, and lil bit more room on the s14, if you put the 1UZFE you will have more room, there is plenty of kits just to bolt on these engines to s13 s14 and even Rx7 FC3s and Fd3s. just gotta do some search with my own eyes, i even seen the titan engine V8 which is a VK56DE into a S13 240sx the hood had to be modify since it stick out a lil bit.
LOL keep the welds and flat black primer, i was looking for a camero with missing wheels, and drive train. made a rare right hand drive just a little rarer.

Would LS1 swap (instead of rebuilding dead ca18det)be viable from bang for the buck view?
