There are contradictions because you don't understand or take out of context the meanings of what's written. I'm not one to say anyone should be Christian rather than Muslim or Jew. Thats a very personal decision for everyone to make on their own.

I cannot accept Mohammed's teachings given that 1. His prophecies often proved to be false prophecies, making him a false prophet 2. So this verse "my father and I are one" has nothing to do with Jesus being the same as God. The koran say the mountians were place on the earth to prevent it from shaking. As anyone with half a brain knows, mountians are the *DIRECT RESULT* of the earth shaking. They don't prevent it from shaking at all. Infact, people who live by mountians can tell you the earth shake all the time. The earth shakes by mountians *MORE* than areas with no mountians.

Dhul-Qarnayn is the name the koran gives to Alexander the Great. All scholars and historians are in agreement about this. The kroan says that Alexander was a muslim who lived to an old age. It also says he built a wall between 2 mountians to keep an army out.

If you want to see the manuscripts with your own eyes, then you will need to enroll in the PHD Biblical scholarship program at a university. From there, you will get invited to scholar conventions where you will be granted access to see the manuscipts with your own eyes.

I want to point out something key here. In Luke 22, the chapter in question, Jesus tells his disciples to get swords and when they show him TWO swords he says it is enough. (cont.)
Enough for what? THAT is the question! Enough to resist dettachment of guards that came to arrest him? Hardly! And after we have seen that Jesus' speech about dying by the sword and his reprimand of Peter, we KNOW it is not that. Two swords are enough to lead a revolt? Hardly. Well, it all comes full circle in what Jesus said during his arrest. The scriptures MUST BE FULFILLED!
It's back to Isaiah 53, the Messianic prophecy from Isaiah where Isaiah states in verse 12, "he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors."
Jesus was to be numbered amongst the transgressors. He was destined to be arrested like a criminal, put on trial like a criminal, and even crucified like a criminal.
Isaiah even tells us, "9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death,"
We see that in his death he was among the wicked (Cont.)

There are contradictions because you don't understand or take out of context the meanings of what's written. I'm not one to say anyone should be Christian rather than Muslim or Jew. Thats a very personal decision for everyone to make on their own.
However I find it interesting how often Christianity is attacked in this manner. For what purpose? Why does it bother you? Are you responsible for what someone else believes? Only if you teach it to them. This increases my faith all the more. Thanks.

I cannot accept Mohammed's teachings given that 1. His prophecies often proved to be false prophecies, making him a false prophet 2. @Xossaa Have a look at John 17 verse 21 where Jesus din not just say that he and the father are one but there are many others who are one with him and with the father. So this verse "my father and I are one" has nothing to do with Jesus being the same as God. All Jesus meant was that he is on the same track as God and this is something all Prophets said including the last and final Prophet of God, Mohammad.

I gave a small list of errors already in a series of replies. Feel free to attempt to refute each of them. I'll start you out. The koran talks about a how Joseph was sold for a few dihrams. Well, the dihram was a *coin*, and it didn't exist in Joseph's day. When mohammad wrote the koran, he thought that coins always existed. The Bible doesn't have this problem.
No muslim has ever been able to refute that. However, when you also fail to refute that, I will give you mor errors.

The koran say the mountians were place on the earth to prevent it from shaking. As anyone with half a brain knows, mountians are the *DIRECT RESULT* of the earth shaking. They don't prevent it from shaking at all. Infact, people who live by mountians can tell you the earth shake all the time. The earth shakes by mountians *MORE* than areas with no mountians.
Mohammad was pre-scientific and this would seem logical to a man like him.

Mountians don't stablize the earth. Mountians are formed BECAUSE the earth's crust is unstable, and colides into each other. Mountians do not stablize it. This is a very serious error in the koran Infact, the earth's crust shakes MORE* by mountains than it does away from mountians.

The earth of the crust floats on a liquid. The outermost layer of the earch extends 5 km, while the mountains go as far down as 35km, making them like pegs.
That is what the Quran is stating, to prevent the whole Earth shattering and have lava spew out destroying all of the world. There is no contradiction, it's just you misinterpreting the verse like every other Christians do.

It's a simple fact, the Quran was telling that the Mountains are like Pegs that keep the Earth's crust secure from breaking into large pieces, while you're thinking it means that they keep the Earth from shaking. That is a failure on your part.

Dhul-Qarnayn is the name the koran gives to Alexander the Great. All scholars and historians are in agreement about this. The kroan says that Alexander was a muslim who lived to an old age. It also says he built a wall between 2 mountians to keep an army out.
1) Alexander was not a muslim
2) He died young
3) He never built a wall of any kind like that

If you want to see the manuscripts with your own eyes, then you will need to enroll in the PHD Biblical scholarship program at a university. From there, you will get invited to scholar conventions where you will be granted access to see the manuscipts with your own eyes.
As for deedat, he has never defeated a scholar. The reason is...he never debated a scholar. I can refute anything deedat says.

The divinity of Jesus was established prior to 40AD. The earliest writtings we have that Jesus is God dates to 40AD, and the writtings were written AFTER the events (meaning that the idea of Jesus being God is even older than 40AD).

The koran says that Joseph was sold for a currency that didn't exist at his time. The currency is called the "didhum" (not sure of the exact spelling). The Bible doesn't have this issue as the Bible uses the correct currency.
This has lead all scholars and historians to agree that mohammad didn't know the didhum didn't exist at that time.
Also, the didhum didn't exist untill 20 years after mohammad's death which proves someone added that in at a later date.

There are just as many websites that say "1001 contradictions in the koran" as there are for the Bible. The fact is, all contradictions in the Bible and koran can be cleared up with proper understanding.
However, the koran has 2 things that Bible doesn't have. Those are historical and scientific errors. I can give a few errors in the koran that no muslim has ever been able to clear up.

Enough for what? THAT is the question! Enough to resist dettachment of guards that came to arrest him? Hardly! And after we have seen that Jesus' speech about dying by the sword and his reprimand of Peter, we KNOW it is not that. Two swords are enough to lead a revolt? Hardly. So what are TWO swords ENOUGH for?
Well, it all comes full circle in what Jesus said during his arrest. The scriptures MUST BE FULFILLED!

It's back to Isaiah 53, the Messianic prophecy from Isaiah where Isaiah states in verse 12, "he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors."
Jesus was to be numbered amongst the transgressors. He was destined to be arrested like a criminal, put on trial like a criminal, and even crucified like a criminal.
Isaiah even tells us, "9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death,"
We see that in his death he was among the wicked (Cont.)
