A baritone has a longer neck and thicker strings, it's designed for lower tunings. You could put thinner strings on and tune to standard with certain models, but it defeats the purpose of a baritone.

Regarding the vid, good job. It's a pretty tricky one to nail.

Fair play. The problem is that the intonation would go if you adjusted the truss rod. The longer neck is used to compensate for the tension (similar to a bass really.)

I'm not really an expert on the mechanics of guitars. I'd suggest you get a 7 string and adjust the truss rod, but if you ask an expert in your local shop they might be able to come up with a better solution.

Very nice... that guitar you are playing is not a baritone, but thats okay, if you can't afford one like me... :)

A baritone guitar can go low-Ab, while a regular guitar has a E. This is because the baritone guitar neck is longer and it was design to play to low-B or low-Ab.

If you have a guitar that has a short-neck and you want to play Ab tunning the best thing to do is to get Heavy Heavy Gauge Guitar Strings. Heavier stings give more low pitch sounds.

Hand size doesn't have anything to do with ability to play. I've seen 8 year olds rock out on full size guitars. It just takes patience and dedication to learn. I'd suggest learning some standard chords and strum patterns first. Then go learn powerchords. They're very easy and almost every song has them. So once you learn that it'll help you play many songs. its a silverburst. not agibson. its a baritone, so if i tuned it up to standard, it would put a whole lot of tension on the neck. the neck is like 2 inches longer than a normal neck.

Yeah, baritone size, you probably have to buy special strings (or use normal ones and have a tight fit).

But dude, try some tool songs, the paint on silverbursts gives guitars a different tone. And with the right sounds you could really rock like adam from tool.

Go look up a vicarious tab.

i don't need to look up any tab. I already know how to play EVERY Tool song. and the paint on a Gibson Silverburst gives a nice tone. not this guitar. no difference in tone. plus, new gibson silverbursts sound the same as any other les paul custom. only the old ones have the distinct tone because of the lead paint. Plus, if i put normal strings on the guitar and tuned up to normal it would probably snap the neck. i have some tool vids if you check my channel.
