I don't use this word often, but I hate Kelly Ripa. I think the only reason why she has a career is because she fits a marketing niche whereby dumb blonde housewives can yell "yeah, you go girl!" at the screen while they do their stairmasters.
I think the main defense people have about Leno is that he was just doing as he was told and that NBC is really to blame. NBC really is to blame but Leno didn't come out of that squeaky clean. He shares some of that blame. Conan was told to move and he refused. Couldn't Leno, with just as much influence and power as Conan (if not more) refused to take the show back and acknowledge the unjust treatment of Conan?

of course conan > leno, but I think it's the focus groups who made the real call, there's no reason to hate on leno for it. and at least nbc let 30 rock parody the situation on prime time on their biggest comedy night of the week.
I've just found Conan on TBS, and I gotta say: TBS was smart to get him and Andy Richter on there. I can't wait to watch more, glad it got off break and began again.
It still kills me how ridiculous NBC BUT mostly Leno behaved about all this!!! I have been a Coco fan since the very begining when he kinda sucked... But he came around and became the amazing guy he is today! I cant put into words how Leno behaved when he got "his" show back!! I just wanna punch that asshole in the face... I probably hit his chin on accident! Im just thrilled Conan and Andy are back! The TBS show is kicking ass! "Gravy Boat Light House"!!!!!! Love these guys to death!

@mbta0293 Do keep in mind that Jay was on a show for years. Andy was promised a job for years but only allowed to keep it for 7 months, up to the point were Jay's shat ratings affected Conan's (and, vicariously, Andy's).

Not only is Conan not allowed to host another show for a few months, but both of his shows' intellectual property stayed with NBC. So the only kind of touring I could imagine is a stand-up tour with them or something.
He announced that they're doing a "half-assed" tour just this morning :) I'm going to go see it! Woo hoo!
Intellectual property I believe are certain skits and characters (masturbating bear, in the year 2000 etc), so he's still able to put on a comedy show not consisting of those things.
