  • I'm so new I can't pick out the key the tuning. Or perhaps I'm just in awe listening to such a perfect delivery, I'm enjoying it too much to stop it and try to pick out the notes. (If anyone knows where to find any tabs to get me started, shout up please.) This is like looking at an old masters painting, I can see where all the paint is, but I know I couldn't reproduce it.

  • @silentypeguy Hey, thanks for the nice words. I'll see if I can help you out a bit.

But you are right, its hard to pick out the notes cause there is really no structure to the song. The way I did it was to just play along with the song many times.

Everything is in the key of E. So just tune your low e string to the key of the song and go from there. Thanks again.

  • lovely...good sound!!!

I'm also guitarist if you want to check out my songs....valentin leonat.

    respect.

  • ti sto pubblicizzando alla grande,perchè a mio avviso meriti davvero!bravo continua a creare cosi!!!!ciao dall'italia!

  • I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this. It's brought back a flood of dark and sweet memories. Superb.

  • @darkandbright2 Thank you very much man! That is what its all about!

  • Awesome...

  • Well played ♥ this track never gets boring.

  • @Sadistica Thank you! Saw some of your stuff on your channel, love your taste, very very dark..

  • I usually find this kind of blues to be too cheesy, but the mood in this song is just so lovely! It sound like the devil is playing the upright...!

  • @MrVaffel Yeah, you're right. There is something very dark about this song.

  • Wow, very, very impressive. The vibe you provide is very close to the real thing. Do you happen to play this song in front of an audience from time to time?

The only issue with this song is the fact that it's not long enough. This track should be as long as the Live version of "No Quarter". It possesses a vibe that is quite close to the famous Zep track.

Thanks a million for posting the clip. I know I'll be watching it on quite a few occasions.

  • @grinderman77 Hey, thanks alot for the nice words and suggestions.

Youre absolutely right, it should have been longer. It is one of those tunes that can go on forever....

The thing is that im a bit of a perfectionist :-) so to make a 10 min version of this tune would take me some time to nail it without any big mistakes. I made 6 versions of this video before getting it somewhat right.

no, I have never played it live, but it would be very cool to do so. the sound could be fantastic live.

  • @kspocover Wow, very cool of you to answer my comments. I was listening to old CDs yesterday and came accross this track. I then checked on Youtube to see if there was a clip and I eventually found your great clip. I'm a bit curious, there is another track that I find has some magic and I'd love to know what you think. It's by Buckethead and it's entitled "Sanctum". The video made by a fan for the track is very fitting as it couldn't be darker. A great track with an amazing vibe.

  • @grinderman77 No problem. love to hear what people think of my videos. I saw the video you reccomended, it is definitely very special. Never heard it before. I think i need to listen to it a couple of times again. And let it grow on me. But there is surely something there. Love the darkness in it. And that is the thing i love in the pink room and Angelo badalamenti. And I sense that is something you appreciate to. Got a new dark tune coming up in a day or two, you should check it out :-)

  • @kspocover I'll definitely check it out and yes, you are correct, I definitely have a thing for music with a dark edge. To this day "Disintegration" by The Cure remains one of my all time favorite. The second half of the album is absolutely mesmerizing. They definitely were not looking for hits when they recorded that album. May I ask which band or musician inspired you through out the years?

  • Hey - Thanx for checkin' out the Strangemen's version of Pink Room- I 'm down with yours and I want to hear your band-As always crank it up- Les More

  • Oh GOD YES!

And now I'm gonna put YOOOO on LOOP!

I wish you could do one of this like 1/2 long!

    AWESOME!

  • @AlabasterDog Hey, Thank you very much! :-)

1/2 long? Does that mean twice as long or?

  • @AlabasterDog oh geeze yikes

well we can either do a half an hour, a half a night, a half a week, I realize at that point I WOULD have to cook for you though.....

    LOL

or half a season, you can take your pick and pick AWAY BABY!

I'm totally in trace listening to you.

See I forgot to even tell you a half of a WHAT!

    ROTFLMAO!

Seriously can't get enough on this one.

I'm learning guitar right now, but I'm nowhere even NEAR this song- it's one of my favorite pieces of music

    You do it well.

  • @AlabasterDog Again, Thanks alot for the kind words.

    Glad you like it.

Its definitely one of my favorite songs ever to.

It wasnt easy to learn to play this song for sure. Everything is kinda of beat in a way.

Like you have to play the tones just before or after a beat.

I think i made 6 of these videos and then picked the one with the fewest number of mistakes to upload :-)

And awesome that your learning the guitar. Just have patience in everything you want to learn, and it WILL come! Thanks
