I think I would be correct in saying he never went out to intentionally hurt anyone, he was hurting himself , any one who can lift themselves back from this addiction has will power of steel... there are so many who dont make it, only the individual can do it , want to do it, so George happy 80th Id love to shake you by the hand .

i would give ten years of my life to hang out with George a few days back in the day... i heard one tale George was drunk and got into an argument before a show in Denver one night. what does George do lolololol he has a cab take him all the way back to his home in Georgia at the time drunk the whole ride home ..... I have this book and it's amazing George Jones is alive today..It was a great read..

It is too bad we didn't have digital recorders, or DVD recorders back in the 80's and 90's. I have so many wonderful programs on VHS from TNN during that time, and most of them are unwatchable today. I am working hard to copy all of them to DVD, but in many, the picture quality is just so bad it is useless to copy it. It is so sad to lose all of these treasures.
