@baseballplyr2203 you dont even know how wrong you are. this advert doesnt even cover everything. it is just so well thought out. and it fires every type of cartridge and looks so good.
@wrightson95 no you sir are an idiot i have shot all three guns many times the maxus jams with low base while my extrema 2 and my dads extreme unico have never jammed even after not being cleaned for about a year..... also the amount of kick from the maxus is way more than the better and the shoulder pad on the maxus is very cheaply made.....and i was a browning guy until my extrema 2 i loved my gold hunter until it started jamming all the time so im not biased
@baseballplyr2203 the beretta may be better for you, personally im a beratta fan but the browning maxus is the best autoloader by far. its light, smart, easy to hold, low muzzle jump. the whole thing is thought out, they havent missed a thing in my opinion.
shot about 4000 rounds 2@3/4 3, and 3@1/2 shells with varying loads through mine with no issues - sporting clays / 5stand, geese, ducks. in cornfields and in canoes - performs admirably. Very light to carry, swings nice, shoots soft with a variety of loads, duratouch finish - modb is very nice when wet, and even better when dry. Great gun - functions as advertised, looks good to. Easy to clean with very few parts to assemble and lose :).
beretta a-400 unico is 1000 times better then this gun. it is lighter, has less recoil, and way more reliable, especially with light trap loads that the maxus jams almost every time with. the maxus works great for 3" and 3 1/3" but kicks like a mule. also when loading shells in the magazine your thumb gets wedged and pinched by the big cutout in the end of the shell carrier. stupid design!!
@CrazySteelShot this is a brilliant design and it never jams. there must be something wrong with yours because ive fired everythinbg and know problems. also its the lightest autoloaded so how is the a400 lighter.
the only fault is that it is hard to opperate a semi on walked up. so browning put the magazine lock on, which makes it easier
been hunting for over 25 yrs always bought browning, i picked up my 3 1/2 30 bbl browning Maxus 2 weeks ago i just couldnt wait to go hunting with it, but unfortunatly i was very very disapointed it kept on jamming I took it to the store 3 times so far I was assured it has been fixed , but yesterday there was thr surprise it kept on jamming again when I loaded my the magazine with 3 1/2 shell when i pressed the safety button it freakin fired by itself anf hurt my finger , that was it
I went hunting with my maxus the other day. Truely amazing. 3.5s feel like 3s, it swings well, I never had a gun fit better in my life. I shot my friends SX3 and it felt ok I guess, a little heavier and fit mediocre. When I tried the maxus out in the shop I didn't even need to shoot it to know it was the better option for me. After hunting with it yesterday I put thoes assumptions to rest.
This is exactly the same as a winchester super x3 except they added the clip off forearm, the twist plug remover, and tacked on the browning name, so they will charge you a extra $500.00 dollars. yippee
@USAamericaUSA No, if you look at both browning and winchester websites: and look at the weight... the Browning weighs 7lbs when the winchester is 6lbs 14ozs and the winchester SX3 is the fastest shotgun in the world... I couldnt tell you which one has the most recoil, i would say the winchester because it is lighter. But they are made by the same company FN and is inported from the same place, in belgium... But no disrespect to browning, they make legendary guns...
@stangsaleens7 No, i dont know about weight but I know on speed, browining beat it by like 7/100ths of a second, not enough to make a difference hunting but....
@goalieslayer ......Yes, it can take light 2 3/4 up to the heavy 3 1/2 magnums. Gotta switch that piston though. I've put about 450 rounds of everything from Remington Nitro Target loads, 3" steel, and some 3 1/2 Black Clouds.....they all cycled flawlessly. The gun was probably meant to handle more hot 3 1/2s than anything...duck hunting.... but I wouldn't be afraid to use it for competition clay shooting. It's the best handling shotgun I've used in a long time. I love that forearm latch.
John Moses Browning invented the pump action as well as the autoloading shotgun. Winchester is great because of John Moses Browning's ideas. Browning or Winchester whichever you think is better they exist because of this man.
@ktktwix the reason that the versa max was more reliable was that you bought the maxus when it first came out the problems hadnt been worked out
