@SuperDuperUberTuber no, unfortunately the Kindle Fire (right now) cannot post quotes to Twitter and Facebook. The other Kindles, the more basic ones, can...as you know. But the Fire can't yet. My guess is that with some customer complaints and demands, (as tends to happen), other Kindle Tablets down the road probably will have that feature. As an update. For more social integration. With book stuff. But now, for $199, it's a good deal. But I'm sure updates are coming soon.
@MuscleSculptor Hi. Thanks for replying. I believe Tweeting is possible from iPhones and iPads and so the facility really should be added to this dedicated device just to help it keep apace - especially now Kobo is pushing social interaction and the gamification of reading (statistics, badges/achievements etc.).
Is the Kindle Fire quite similar to the PC App meaning that, as well as not being able to share notes and quotes (yet) it also won't read text out?
Can you Tweet quotes from books with this version?

@SuperDuperUberTuber no text-to-speech in it either. At least not right now.
