  • I love the man who says: "It reminds me of dolphins"

  • I recently had a traumatic brain injury and Skull fracture from missing the mats and landing on my head while vaulting. Doctors say I can't vault again for 3 months, but I can't wait!

  • Hello to Rick Baggett and thanks to Iriglegna for a great insight to the vault.

  • hey i am a coach for a high school pole vaulting team how could i get this its really good. i think it would give my vaulters that extra boost they need....can i download it or buy it somewhere?

  • You have to be king of addicted to pole vault if your doing this. Even if it doesnt work sometimes. I use to say, pole vault is a bitch. No offend to bitches ;)

    Just love the sport

  • i think im addicted to pole vaulting. im straight in love with it, i cant get enuff.

  • Me too :)

  • It only takes a couple of awsome vaults to keep you comming back for more.

  • I broke my pole 2 days ago at my meet. I've gone over the video in slow motion with my coach, I didn't do anything wrong like pull on it, it just looks like it was the pole's time. It counted as a 'no jump' and I got up and did my three more attempts. All that I have to show for it is a bruised hand, guess I'm lucky!

  • One of the younger kids who trains under my coach broke a pole last week at a competition. Slapped up his leg real good. But he was back the next training session :)

  • I had a buddy who broke his pole back in 11th grade and fell on his head in the box. He got realy hurt. But was back the next week ready to shred!

This vid makes me proud to be a pole vaulter.

  • you have no idea how much i miss pole vaulting

  • so why don't you continue to?

  • just seeing the state stadium and watching this makes me ready to jump. Go pv!!!!

  • Good video. The kid at 6:10 did everything possible to ensure he broke a pole. Perfect example of unsafe vaulting.

  • Fred Arnold is God

  • pole vault is dangerous sport which requires risks (sometimes) but what gives you the same feeling and doesn't require a bit o crazy? :P

  • I now have the Vertical Minds DVD for sale. If your interested, message me on youtube with your email address and I'll send you an order form!

  • Ha thats my sister Melinda Owen (University of Idaho)flippin like someone who got hit by a car at 6:29 in the video :)

  • very very good video... anyone who brings fred arnold into the mix knows PVing!

  • really good vid...pole vaulting is only dangerous if you dont know what your doing. Ive never broken or pole or gotten seriously injured but ive gotten hit in the balls about 5 times

  • hahhhahah same here man, same here

  • so true vaulting is nothin like football you go to a meet and evryone their is calm and respectful. its just a flatout fun and relaxing but also pressureing sport and thats alsom. and in football your always under some kind of pressure. nice vid.

    peace...

I would have to say pole volting is the best thing in the world, I wish my personal best was some of theirs

  • this is a great video. i love it.

  • Brings me back... glad to see pole vaulting grow like this since 1993.

  • Thanks for putting this up!! -Fred Arnold's niece, Diane Arnold (now Phipps!) :)
