  • Hi, I have DSL now, and I game, and watch videos quite often, my internet is pretty bad, but I have no cap, so I have two questions.. will there be a unreasonable bandwidth cap, and is the latency good while in games?

  • @ViaSatInc Is Accelenet only going to be available for Viasat-1 or will it be available on Wildblue-1 since the launch was postponed?

  • @ViaSatInc

I play online games will my ping go down at all when the new satellite is launched?

  • Up to 1.2GBPS for businesses.

  • Japan's Kizuna satellite 155mbps down & 6mbps up for about $55.00 USD a month.

  • Can't wait to start beta testing AcceleNet for WildBlue.

  • I live in a rural area is this going to be available to me ?

  • @ViaSatInc hey I have wildblue pay 80$ for 1.5mbps how much will it be for the fastest Internet plan and speed of it? And what date will this be launched?

  • @Pr0k1llz No service plans or prices are set yet. And while we have a window for launch in the spring, there is no set launch date, so we can't set a date when service will be available. Once we begin offering the new service, it will roll out region by region as the beams are turned on. Thanks for your patience.

  • Does this mean no more FAP. What's the point of that fi there's an FAP. FAP really pisses me off.

  • my question is, why did he compare the lowest speed of DSL to it instead of 1 of the higher speeds. It looks impressive but is it TRULY a fair comparison.

  • @eeandrews This was not a test to show which technology has the highest throughput, but to demonstrate the great performance of Accelenet software with ViaSat-1 throughput. The target market is underserved markets, with low speed DSL due to distance from central offices and/or poor quality copper. These areas typically don't have cable service either. So with ViaSat-1 and Accelenet we plan to offer services in these regions that are comparable to services offered in densely populated areas.

  • @ViaSatInc Thanks for replying. Fair Test or not, I was impressed. That is extremely fast for satellite Internet. I would like to know if you are looking for independent sales professionals. I already go door to door selling satellite and phone. I could use a great internet service like this to offer to my customers. Many of them have hughs net or DSL. Would you be interested in talking further?

  • @eeandrews WildBlue is always looking for good new dealers. Go to the WildBlue website and the /dealers page to sign up.

  • Many people still doubt that satellite can perform this well under any conditions. The objective of this demo is to show that satellite can indeed provide a great user experience, given that you allocate enough bandwidth to the connection. This video demo uses a high-bandwidth Ku-band connection to simulate the performance that ViaSat-1 will bring to market. At the recent Satellite 2010 show, we did the same demo using Ka-band capacity on WildBlue-1.

  • How did you use it already if the satellites haven't even been launched yet?

  • @generalkyletheman This is what I was thinking.

  • I <3 mah company!
