i feel so sorry for anyone who didn't see screamfeeder live in the early 90s. they always gave it everything. remember especially that going away show at the roxy in 94 (did they ever go away?) one of their best shows ever
Krazynite you are so right. These were the days. Things were so much easier. Damn I sound old. Screamfeeder, magic Dirt, beaverloop, jenidiah, spiderbait, regurgitator, tumbleweed... I could go on for ages. Good times.
i must the glory days in brissie where not only these gurus were playing but you had a choice of 3 or 4 bands of this quality in various locations around the city !! they played great at the flood relief gig on sunday night too..
You guys are so amazing and I think what's different about this to modern stuff is that you're totally dorky(this is Miss Helen, by the way- that's totally a compliment from me!) and natural and it's just so beautiful and perfect. I still get all excited when I see the drink Hi-C!
i miss this period in aussie music! just playing for fun!! remember that?? modern (cringe) indie music seems contrived! i agree with valcarni1 if you have dart put it up. it seems like modern indie kids are living in houses that bands like these guys built. or maybe im just getting old!
hey..! thanks for the comment, i agree with you re current indie bands esp the emo shite getting around, god help us. it's about as punk rock as my left ass.
i get all nostalgic when i see video's like this. what right do i have to feel nostalgic at twenty five? the more time that passes the more the quality of songs like this reveals itself!
The moment I saw this clip on TV I yelled "That's the Bardon 7/11!" Knew it from living in Morris St & thereabouts. Love the way this round goes round n round. Please play this tomorrow at Pig City!!
Did you guys live around Bardon at the time?

i agree - a great little moment in australian music - screamfeeder, pollyanna, whitlams, sfk and so many more... does any Shreen footage exist???

Best guitar solo ever!
Oh, when music used to be about fun instead of posing!
Also - a girl in teh folm clip because she sings the song rather than to add the ubiquitous 'hooker dancing in background for no particulr reason'

I think I remember seeing this film-clip about 10 years ago on Rage. Catchy little tune, wot-wot. Who's the ugly chick singing with you, though?
