  • I think the Aussie kid did better.

  • holy shit dude

  • That has to be the most awesomeness sing I have ever watch

  • I watched this when it aired, and he gave me chills everytime he sang. I honestly couldn't have been happier when he won too! :]

  • I wonder; Did he win? God, all those people clapping for him. I'm happy for him.

  • I wish america knew what real opera was.

  • i cryed when i saw this lol

  • Awesome!!!!!!!

  • As a lover of opera, he is good enough to hit the notes, but he needs to work on his diction.

  • @Acoontey Well, he's never had a proper class LoL he learned by listening to a CD.

  • You would NEVER clap when a high note is sung when seeing a Broadway show, or during an opera. This isn't a pop song America, he's singing one of the most famous tenor arias and you're treating it like a rock concert.

  • what is with all the cheering and clapping while he is singing. i have never seen such disrespect.. how embarassing america. have some class and wait until the performance is over...

  • not bad at all .... but still feel like he could do a little bit more ...

  • that was beatiful... i cried.

  • As a classical trained singer pursing a masters degree this performance IS NOT anything spectacular. So many things are wrong with this performance.

  • flat

  • I always cry watching this. He has such an amazing voice <3

  • I don't know man this is actually pretty bad.

  • How come everyone does Nessun dorma someone please do Vesti la Guibba

  • @paintballKid545 Because its an amazing song.

  • @VampireSweetheart01 Ya but its not original. Every wannabe opera singer uses it. Couldn't he think of something else.

  • Was it good??? honestly, it was one of the worst nessun dorma i ve ever heard.

  • i love thinking back when i saw this and think that at the time he auditioned he didnt no that he would win :D

  • Check out my opera video and comment?lol poor guy

  • that sucked !!

  • @obamasuckss Shut up...Then why did you watch it?

  • @obamasuckss Think before you say...

  • this is one of those guys you just wanna give a huge hug =)

  • amazing!

  • aw i love this guy. ♥

  • 4:35 soo tiny how can i see the video

  • @Did he BURN something? That eway you can say he SINGED IT HA HA

  • Oh crap I actually got goosebumps when he was singing and I dont know why.. . O.o

  • @Wolferzn bDidn't know WHY? weren't you listening to his sin ging/ And you didn't KNOW WHY?

  • @Peggycass Because I never get goosebumps....? >.>

  • @Wolferzn oh, OK. To think about it, i don't either

  • Oh my God! I'm crying!!! It was SO beautiful!!! ;-D

  • nuttin but stringz should have won

  • @They were great, i couldn't remember the year they were on AMG

  • thumbs up if you got goose bumps before he started singing

  • 25 people cant hear the voice ( "White men cant jump"reference)

  • Neil E Boyd and Jackie Evancho are easily the 2 best opera singers in the history of America's Got Talent. now doubt

  • Much better than Paul Potts!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing voice ! Absolutely stunning !

  • singing begins at 3:10

  • WATCH THE VIDEO .... LASEK AND KEYZ " PENSANDO EN TI "

  • If you dislike this video 1st you have no taste 2nd you are probably related to the people who lost to him 3rd you dont know what talent is even if it hit you in your face and 4th why did you watch it if you didnt like it?

  • He has the perfect body for a good opera singer.

  • He can't be that poor! He's huuuuuuuge! Poor people don't have enough money to eat all that food.

  • @Alot of poor people are fat. They eat a lot of potatoes and beans, macaroni, etc. Can get that fairly cheaply. I remember he said they WERE poor when he was growing up. I don't remember him saying they were poor at the time. Again, I have known quite a few fat, poor people

  • @Peggycass Fair enough man. I was sort of just taking the piss not trying to cause any harm! But yea I know what you mean. A lot of poor people where I live are pretty big too!

  • i personally find Potts voice more enjoyable.

    Still a beautiful voice though!

Some timing issues but i'm sure it was just all the nerves

  • 4:17- 4:21= Winning......

  • idk hy sum people laugh and make fun of this amazing and wonderful guy i bet nun of u would have da guts to do that and admit he was poor he amazing!!!

  • Potts was better think ...but still this guy kills it...very happy for him

  • love it :) well done :)

  • American Paul Potts. Amazing.

  • I love opera, and I love heartfelt, emotional guys like this, but... can we PLEASE do something besides "Nessun Dorma?" That poor aria is losing its magic for me.

  • @twiwonder I know how you feel. ): I get that the song is beautiful, but damn, choose another aria! xD;

  • @JesykaL i second that motion!

  • @twiwonder It's lost it's magic for me a long time ago since it became the standard opera wanna-be performed piece. I know that the audience is screaming and everything, and the judges are so impressed, so I'll have to say couple of things which seem overlooked among all of the excited noise the audience makes: In real opera, singers who are about 100 times better than this guy, don't even attempt this aria, and in case the judges didn't hear it through all the voice manufacture, HE IS FLAT!!!!!

  • @barmanjoe I completely agree with you, esp. the comment about real opera singers. The truth is, I grew up listening to Pavarotti and the other tenors, and it just really irks me to constantly hear people comparing amateurs to such geniuses. Yes, this man is talented, and yes, he can go far, but for GOD'S sake, stop saying Paul Potts is "the next Pavarotti!"

  • @twiwonder And what's interesting is that some people will look at my comment and will call me arrogant and an idiot for putting him down like that, but in reality, I'm actually not putting him down, he did it to himself if he wanted to go by the standards of opera buffs such as myself (I sing opera as well). So I am merely talking about the truth and the facts and if that hurts anyone then they are simply not ready for the truth hehe

  • @barmanjoe well said. you can have a free opinion on youtube, and not diss other people or cuss needlessly, and i think you expressed that quite well

  • @twiwonder I think it's because Nessun Dorma has such a great climax at the end. I agree, though. There are plenty of good first impressions besides that song. I've never seen anyone sing Nella Fantasia or O Sole Mio yet.

  • @twiwonder Never!!! The greatest opera song ever written! I listen to Jackie Evancho sing it 10 times a day.... Never tire of hearing it.

  • @plae8859 That's you, dear. What about the judges and listeners?

  • better than potts

  • I sell insurance. I'D BUY SOME FROM YOU :D

  • amazing

  • i was going to cry at 5:18

  • For Hasselhoff to stand up with his arms wide open is a little ridiculous...He's got some talent but isn't an opera singer. What would their reaction be to a Pavarotti? Explode?

  • I have no words to say... just RESPECT!

23 dislikes=23 people have no ears!!!

  • hehhehheh, Iuse to live in sikeston =)

  • I can hear the best singers in the world and be blown away. But opera singers are the only people who can make me tear up at the sound of their voice. It's the most beautiful form of music in my opinion.

  • this is what the world needs to keep up

  • I started crying like a baby...

  • David is a fake overacting douchebag...

  • he was my favourite..did he win? i'm from sweden so i just saw a few episodes

and check out this guy from sweden got talent watch?v=7g943kfvFrU

  • this video brought me to tears

  • I could watch this over, and over, and over again!!! What am I saying??!! I "DO" WATCH THIS OVER & OVER & OVER AGAIN!!!! :)

  • I think this guy is better than Paul Potts....

  • OH YEAH BABY!!!! ROCK ON NEAL, ROCK ON!!!

  • ♥♥♥♥THE BEST♥♥♥♥

  • im crying bro. its so good

  • Why does everyone sing Nessun Dorma?

  • he's good but he's no Paul Potts

  • this guy can sing

  • whats the name of this song?

  • @proudtobeamom02 Nessun Dorma

  • Awesome for a self-taught vocalist! His pronunciation is a little choppy, but that's easily fixed through practice. Keep rollin!

  • 21 people have no heart!

  • @ricojico No it just made overly dramatic like every other American talent show.

  • Comment removed

  • @ricojico make that 23 some idiots actually think this opera singing is boring

  • @ricojico 25

  • @ricojico ... and now 27! Unbelievable! I guess they were looking for some porn videos.

  • @ricojico 27 ;(

  • I really really think this guy is THE BEST :') :').

  • no goood!!

  • this guy is fucking amazing

  • does he win

  • No matter what hapeens, nobody will ever take David Hasselhoff seriously...ever.....not even once....nope.....not one bit....

  • i seen there were 21 thumbs down. you people might want to fix the audio on your computer cause it obviously doesnt work. or maybe your heads are to far up your own asses to hear. this guy is simply awesome

  • jajajaj gordo ridiculo que fea critica!!! pero chistosa XD

  • i just started a free singing contest! prizes! enter!

  • Bravo, Bravo Magneficent

  • you would think that Nessun Dorma was the only aria you hear in opera based on these shows.... choose something different for once....

  • @neverine2000 no idiot, in fact is the favorite song to sing because it is really short, regular opera songs take too long.

  • @jorgeubaque listen you tard, its not the only short aria... its not a song btw, its an aria...

  • gordo ridiculo...

  • What song was playing in the background at the beginning?

  • considering he was holding back crying(and it affected him when he first started and on that last note) he did great, really great !!!

  • wow this is the best opera i've ever heard

  • Brought me to tears when I heard this. he did fantastic!

  • fantastic voice

  • no i got to admit this man dose sing very good opera if u try to say Paul Potts is better ur sick this mans notes are much more better

  • @turksuckballsgyot "Singing opera" means singing in a full opera. An opera is a work of drama or comedy set to music, like a musical that is mostly sung-through but performed without any body or standing microphones. Opera singers are able to project the sound so that it's heard without amplification. Opera singers do it for 2-4 hours operas, while acting, at very high standard of perfection in tone, pitch, phrasing, diction and with highest artistry and expressiveness. They also move and act.

  • @turksuckballsgyot talents are not meant to be compared but to be admired.

  • To Dimoaar: Luciano Pavarotti. Pavarotti publicly admired Bocelli's voice and played an early part in the younger man's career.[121][122] He reportedly stated that "There is no one finer," upon hearing his voice for the very first time.[123] Bocelli would later sing during both his wedding ceremony, in 2003, and his funeral, in 2007.119] Bocelli is widely regarded as one of the best singers in the world, and his voice is admired and revered all across the globe.

  • @giammonadj Pavarotti admired many singers, including pop singers like Aretha. Being admired by Pavarotti is NOT the definition of an opera singer. There is only one definition of an opera singer: opera singer is someone who sings in LIVE OPERAS. Bocelli has maybe sung in 5 or 6 operas in his life in smaller theaters, and to not-so-good reviews. He is very highly regarded as classical crossover/popular singer, but not opera singer. Did you see him performing leading roles at La Scala? Met?

  • he looks like Gabriel Iglesias but in black form, haha

  • Greetings from Russia! Dear Neal,... I was deeply charmed with your singing, and was fallowing to the power of your vice. You should keep to study singing, you are so talented! Iwill pray for you to find your way to the opera singing, and hope to see you on the stage.

  • People gotta start loving there mums.

  • good...yes...opera good...no

  • wow that was amazing

  • i cried a little

  • que GORDO!

  • @TheCinematrix that's not very nice >:/

  • thumbs up if you get goose bumps !! :p

  • he's a big boy, and he have a big heart (':

  • absolutly marvelous

  • Very touching, great singing.

  • That season had some of the best singers of any year. Eli Mattson Donald Braswell.

Not sure of Boyd's training but Braswell had been a performing opera singer prior to his accident and graduated from Julliard School of Music.

    Excellent performances.

  • @carlos22rb wow, you racist faggot,

  • @timmytoker123 dude calling him a 'faggot' make u just as bad as him but i know what u meant even tho i cant find HIS comment but 4 real u cant be a bigot and call someone racist its like an oxymoron haha

  • Can't sing a note! Awful

  • @stemginger I GIVE HIM A 6. CARLOS APONTE IS MUCH BETTER THAN HIM.

  • Jerry must always state the obvious

  • this just made me cry. :')

    it made my day/night.

  • why are they allways so fat.......

  • @Metalface123 bhahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahaha

  • @Metalface123 honestly, most larger ppl need larger lungs so they can get enough blood pumping for their larger organs, thus giving them more air to use and sing louder, higher, (and i think) better than most other people

  • he shouldn't get that emotional before singing...

  • aw i love him!

  • This man is incredible. That was a flawless performance and so very emotional.

  • another nessun dorma....

  • i love this!! he is such a good guy and he did soo well!! what talent!

  • I LOVE OPERA! THIS IS AN EMOTIONAL VIDEO FOR ME. A SON SHOWING HIS SENTIMENTS TO HIS MOM THROUGH SONG. GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS TALENT.

  • damn he gud

  • Ang galing!! Ang ganda..ka boses nya si ano.. tsaka c quan!

  • I have heard people say that Americans don't understand opera, and I suppose that it is true that Americans as a whole do not really like to listen to opera, but by God they chose an opera singer for the first winner of Ameriaca's Got Talent. Does that say something about Americans or what.

  • This is awe inspiring at the least. Amazing!

  • so touching... geez i cried

  • regaurdless of what people say about him, and i mean bad comments. He WON!!! yes, 1 million dollars

  • pierce is such a loser, lets see him do better than that!

  • Paul Potts from Britain's Got Talent Impressed me more than him, Much More.. he's still very good though! But I sill be believe Eli Mattson was better.

  • Absolutely insparational, this guy deserves more than a million dollars this is amazing

  • i so agree with sharon thats all i have 2 say.

  • I hope he has gotten training since the end of the show, hard to judge whether his instrument is big enough to sing professional opera, but he definitley has a spectacular untrained instrument.

  • Wow nice video!

  • nice man

  • It is so great to see such a good person who has worked so hard in his entire life to get rewarded for his hard work.

  • He sings opera, which he does spectacularly enough to entertain a common listener. Nowhere do I hear anyone claim in the clip that he could become an actual opera star. But one thing is right, he could entertain a large audience. And that's enough. He could perhaps fill a niche like "pop opera".

The judges got carried away too much by the story and the audience reaction though.

  • ok guys as a legitimate opera singer...the rest of you need to know this...

yes...this fellow is a decent beginner, decent voice...but he is no where and i mean no where near trained enough to actually sing Opera on a professional stage...

a trained Tenor singing this aria from Turandot would easily fill this entire auditorium WITHOUT a mic. that is the truth. this guy would disappear without the mic...THATS what makes a real Opera singer, self-amplification among other things...

  • @dimoaar

    Bocelli uses a mic.......
