What is the white-gi guy doing in the beginning? Are those supposed to be kicks? Seriously, the other guy just walked straight towards him without defending on slapped him to the ground.
And kicking your legs wile lying on your back to keep your opponent away? That's what elementary school children do when they get into a fight on the playground.
tough to say, but first thing is first; there is no safe way to get up while the other man is standing. I suppose in some cases a backward roll could work, but what scares me is ever turning your back on your opponent, even if for a split-second. Anyone else know of some good techniques to recover while minimizing threat?
I know this post is 3 months old, but just so you might want to know. The best way is to make your opponent fall by a scissor kick and go into a submission battle or stand back up while he's down.
