@SlimShadySyndrome I think early in this episode it mentioned that that area had been covered by water, so it could have gotten in like that and adapted and mated. If that doesn't answer you question, some sharks have found their way into lakes and live because they have glands that regulate the salt water to a favorable amount. They get into lakes by swimming through small tributaries and river ways before settling. But then again, this all depends on whether you believe this creature exist.

I remember when that boy at the beginning drowned... and I honestly do not think it was some accident... That boy was pulled under.... I live in Oklahoma as well, and I think the octopi are a perfectly plausible probability when it comes to all the unexplained drownings in our state.

Honestly, i don't think so. Giant Octopus typically dwell at the bottom. They only live 3 - five years tops. Living in fresh water is highly unlikely due to their sensitive systems. The largest in the world reside in Washington around Puget sound and off the coast in British Columbia. Not in lakes. Nice try though :)

Ive been swimming in Oklahoma lakes my whole life never heard anything like this. Their is nothing we dont know about in these lakes most and all large lakes in Oklahoma are man made lake so i dont see how it could be feasible that an octopus or any other marine life to arrive or adaptated in Ok. lakes . Most times people who drowned are weak swimmers, or drunks so if your either you should have life jackets on or stay on the beach
