Right. Which is why I have my headlights aimed significantly farther down than should be aimed to keep them out of peoples eyes. Going on 2 years of driving with these and the high beams installed, have not been pulled over or high beam flashed ONCE. I must be doing something right.
You mean if you bought an HID kit with BI-Xenons (high and low)? Then you would just have one bulb in the low beam housing. But it probably wouldnt work too well because of the design of 9006 housings.
You can use the stock headlights, but unless you spend some time aiming them you will have hotspots and stray light patterns. The best option would be to either do a projector retrofit or just buy some nice projectors.
Not too sure what you mean? To make it clear, I have 4 ballasts on my car, one for each HID bulb.
I will stress this next part pretty hard. The low beam lights I have plug and play, directly plugged into the stock harness. The stock low beam circuit is heavy enough to handle the load of HIDs. The high beam circuit, however, is NOT. You will need a battery harness to take power directly from the battery for the high beams, or you may damage the turn signal switch or other electronics.
Not really. With any headlight, you will have less light on the road when its raining because of it reflecting off the road. And sometimes the reflections make weird patterns on trees and houses that kinda catch your attention, but they still work fine.
Well my highs are 55w and lows are 35w, got them at seperate times. The 35w kit is $85 shipped, 55w is $110 shipped. I highly recommend 35 for lows and 55 for highs. They are, IMO, the best kit out there. They come with slim, digital DDM balasts, and German Apexcone bulbs. Great place to get an awesome kit from.
stock headlights?

@DizNBoiAz
Stock 97 Eclipse headlights, yes. For whatever reason, 97-99 headlights have a better cutoff than 95-96 headlights on Eclipses.

hids are cool... but it's dangerous and annoying when the idiot coming the other way DOES NOT HAVE PROPER CUT OFF... light's shooting everywhere!!!

did you have to drill a hole so that the HID wiring could go through the plastic cover on the back of the head light?

What happens if you do NOT buy them seprately. Lets say i bought and installed a 35w 8000k.. Would my highs have any effect?
