How can you have a "Columbia" class ship, if the colonies do not have a Christopher Columbus?

if colonial def knew of the attack and disabled the tech shutdown the cylons used then there fleed would have more then 150 battlestars but in this case with only the 12 older models working they still would lose the cylons attackt on 12 worlds at the same time so you lose at least 11 worlds and besides the cylons would attack this fleet with more then 100 basestars all nuking the place so best ting they can do is run for it :P its still a nice mod only you need way more enemy fighters :P

Okay.... If you're going to have a video like this where you want to show off the ships and then show us your contrived "What If" scenario, then take the time to show us the ships when there's no action going on and then show us how you think it would have played out.

I feel the need to point out that no amount of "readiness" on the part of the Colonies could prevent the Cylons from using that backdoor in the CNP to shutdown the ship's power.

Also, take the time to give better angles.

btw they stopped useing the columbia class mainly cus they had missle jamming and also better weopons on newer battlestars but also because the ships could now use advanced teck (they use something to move missles away from their targets) murcery had it

I can honestly say that although it's the oldest, Galactica is the sleekest and most beautiful battlestar, i feel that Valkyrie is a tad too short though.

nice, how do u make such a big battle?is it campaign or skirmish? i have 0.4.4 and even on hardest in skirmish AI suck.. they have only 7 raider squadrons and 2 patrolstars...

The Colonial fleet had about 120 battlestars, in the pilot series someone mentioned 30 battlestars being taken out really fast and someone else saying "thats a quarter of the whole fleet!" Thats why they were turning the Galactica into a meusam and it had no munitions for its main guns, it was old and out dated and they had 120 other battlestars to defend the colonies.

No. If you have a recent Mac, get VMWare or Parallels, get Windows and then download it. I think HomeWorld 2 was available for Mac OS9 but that won't run on newer macs.

oh, i see. i have osx. haha i have VMware already. i am actually a windows user but converted. now i cant get enough of mac. I never bothered buying before cuz of price. but i got mine for free. haha. VMware is the best thing too. runs windows faster than an average IBM laptop. lol thanks. They are all from the album "Transformers: The Score" (*NOT* from the "soundtrack"). All songs are by Steve Jablonski. The first is "Optimus vs Megatron" (Track 19) The second (starting at 4:05) is "No Sacrifice, No Victory" (Track 20)

Wow. Very good video. Definitely adding it to favorites. The music selection is very good. However, at about 5:30, I highly doubt colonial ships would have flown that close together. That's asking for a collisoin(and yes, I know you really couldn't help it, it's the homeworld engine)

Still, Damn good video. Sad, the loss of the valkyrie (I think that's the ship at 3:15 that was lost?)

I think the modd under powers Galactica. Shes got 8 cannon mounts on her top deck and 14 on her under carriage. So the only logical way for her to aproach a battle is from the waste down. Where as the Aries, has 24 cannon, all on her top deck. Which means shes got nothing on the under carriage, but thats 24 heavy turrets, blasting away.

Also Point defence in the game is fun, if you position your battlestars right, you get a decent flak screen.

Battlestar Aries has a unique shape. Columbia is much like Pegasus but with the main batteries arranged in a style similar to Galactica. Nice.

iv made many video's from this mod, but mostly from smaller battles, i might make a video froma large battlescene now

btw, press backspace to remove the on screen displays ;)

and press tab to remove all the green/red icons =)

try to keep the atlantia BELOW the enemy so ALL the batteries can lash out hell to the atlantias enemys can easily destroy multiple heavys

the pegasus for that matter can take on 3 at once!! again if used properly =)

manual control on the peggy is usefull try to keep the forward battery faceing the enemy at all times, n stick galactica on supression mode so it targets missiles to protect ur ships use move commands to move accross the battlefield the rails will automatically fire
