We Would be lucky if The aftermath of nuclear devastation was somewhat similar to Chernobyl , Hiroshima or "Fallout 3/New vegas. It may Sound Daunting and horrible but It would benefit Mankind more in every way . For example: Eadable Mutated creatures , More people too trade food , Ammunition , Weaponry etc . Also Flora and wildlife would spring back to that wasteland so Farming and Agriculture can reform and Man will have a large chance of survival.

@MiracleKD18, Yes, primative humans "survived" the Ice Age. However, they evolved and adapted over a long period of time. If Earth went cold and dark overnight 90% of us would be fookered. Most city people do not know how to grow their own food, or even how the food they eat is produced. We have become so dependant on modern conveniences that if our electric or water goes out for more than a day we panic.

NOT below 0 temp worldwide.. also life would return, just like trees regrow after a fire.. there would be mass extinctions of many kinds of plants animals and humans.. but some would make it... millions would!! human ingenuity and will is too strong to just give up...

I came out of there swearing I'd never go back, it scared me that much lol. But anyway my friend said the human race will go 'MAD'. Which if I remember correctly stands for 'Mutual Assured Destruction'. And that is basicly what it means. We would fight WW3 with Nuclear weapons and fight WW4 with sticks and stones. I have heard that the simulations were done with exchanges of 300 and 2000 weapons to see what would happen. The reality is we have upwards of 26,000 worldwide, all liable to be used if the US gets involved in a nuclear exchange. Have they done any simulations for an exchange that big?
