Absolutely, the VECTRA A is immaculate machine, the versions with C20XE and C20LET engines are one of the best ever made by OPEL!!! Not to mantion that i was quit impress with the 2.4 CIH engine tuned by Mantzel on a Opel Manta, I like the old OPELs, they are better than new one. Well excluding the OPC series off course, they are beasts. Regards friends.
the 1.6 is still very fast! im a mechanic so i drive alot of cars and ive not been impressed by a 1.6 so much! a huge car and it still pulls like a train! i used to have a 2.0 eco tec stripped out that did 150mph
Managed to get 127 out of my ecotec before having to slow down. LIttle did i know at the time it was riddled with engine faults. The bloke i bought it off removeed the ecu light from the dash. after new crank sensor, more electrics and about £900 more work turns out the wiring loom was fucked and was getting interference from alternator lol That was my 4th cav and sadly my last. oh how i miss those days.....
just baught a 1.7 tdi gonna try and squeeze a few more horses out of her with a new intercooler and a custom built exhaust with no silencers! ill strip it to but i think it'll only manage 120mph tops because of the gearing. my ecotech used to go through crank sensors like they where going out of fashion and it used to pink when switched off too! still went 150 though :) my new one has mint body work so its a good basis if i wanted say a 2.5 v6 :P
