What are you people talking about, this game is absolutly god awful now. The class system is incredibly stupid and has absolutly no customization involved in it. The new combat is horrible and unbalaced, and it has a half assed rip off of WoW quest system. The things that made this game shine like the class system and the feeling of being able to do what ever you want whenever you want have all dissapeared since the NGE.

I prefer WoW, but I stopped SWG a long time ago. When I stopped, it was a revamp of SWG and it was not very good at all. However, my friend informs me that there have been a lot of changes for the better. Then again, The Burning Crusade is coming out soon, so you might like WoW again.

except XWA had a crappy controll system, you coulden't roll or yaw, you had to do both at the same time, I like TIE Fighter and such, my main beef with XWA though was I coulden't go imperial and I like the menu screen in TIE Fighter better. apart from that those were indeed the best Star Wars flight sims ever, I liked the fact that I could re-direct power and move my shields from front/back/balanced without having to use droid commands that took forever to recharge.

Because it was more free before it was sold to SOE. You had to work hard to get to Jedi, and now anyone can be one (which is disappointing to those who worked so hard to get there)

I guess youre right about the way you can just start out as a jedi. it should be a privalege. any way i started as a commando, will i still be able to reach the jedi class?

I still love that game, and i have gone through all of the changes. Some people say now it's more like an FPS in stead of an MMO. I personally love the new combat. I am with you, I don't know why everybody says it sucks.
