  • D-Nice is one of the most underrated rappers ... Greetz from Poland.

  • Damn this guy had good rapping skills and should have rap along with Krs-One.

  • I had my homie que this on my cassette tape for our varsity hoop entrance back in 1992 over here in Nor Cal's Yay Area.

  • I says that d-nice and scott la rock could go 4 father and son

  • "who gets laid, the chicken or the egg?"

  • @GoingSkateboarding I ate the chicken, then I ate his leg.

  • a real legend of rap music.

  • That's Willie D

  • <3

  • New rap is so uncreative.

    1. Talk about the money and accessories you own.

    2. Talk about having sex a lot.

    3. Talk about how gangster you are compared to others.

    4. Hate everyone.

    5. Autotune? Really?

This guy was awesome. This is real rap, and I think this quality is extinct.

  • @MikeAsHimself agreed

  • both are good, but why does "jungle" by andre nickatina have all of that racism and politics on it and this is so peaceful and academic? this is so much better...

  • first cd I ever bought

  • dope

  • Wow...

  • B-D-P POSSE! I SAY 1,2,3 THE CREW IS CALLED B-D-P. AND IF YOU WANT TO GO TO THE TIP-TOP. STOP THE VIOLENCE IN HIP-HOP. Y-OOOOOOOOOOOOO!.

  • look like nas

  • this is the rap i loved. i'd never bash anyone for whatever music they choose to listen to but when i hear people like soulja boy called "great" i think of music like this.

  • I MISS this track.... damn..

  • You can tell kme KRS didn't write this. If he didn't D-nice is the man. Word

  • @PlanetHarlem

i had heard d-nice was behind alot of things. unfortunately i guess he was naive to the business. therefor krs1 gets paid for uhm well you know lol. i cant reiterate what i heard d-nice say in an interview. but lets just say krs gets paid for some of the things writings or ownership that he doesnt deserve

  • @msnywoman23 Your not saying D-Nice wrote Krs- One's lyrics are you?

  • @chefKevR

no . im saying that d-nice wrote his own stuff but krs got ownership over d-nice music. i cant quote the interview i heard with d-nice exactly. but no im not saying krs didnt write his own stuff

  • @msnywoman23 Yeah so many rappers got jerked in those days. Sad to hear that Kris may have jerked rappers. There is always two sides to a story though.

  • @PlanetHarlem Dont diss D- nice like that, he got more hits that is distinct from Krs. He clearly wrote his own shit.

  • dnice never really got traction, sort of like k-solo........

  • @agent1923__Word! Good comment. I was just thinking that to myself -- "D-Nice is like 'the K-Solo from the Bronx!'"

  • This video was recorded in "THE FREEDOM TUNNEL" that runs along the West Side Highway in NYC.

  • He's still djing and is also a photographer. He has a website, search google. He also has a facebook and twitter account.

  • bronx style

  • what happened to him he was so good?

  • very tight, d-nice, special ed, quame, 90s' artist are the best no doubt, just listen to this if you disagree !!!!

  • arlington playboy magazine

  • now this is rap now adays not to many could go against 90's rap

  • dope!!!

  • I still love this.

  • d-nice , he had potential, i wish he blew up more, i like him

  • oh hell. as soon as i heard the first few seconds of this song i broke out in a smile.

  • 17 in this video

  • Long time, no hear.

    Well done on posting this

A classic from hip-hop's golden age.

  • Dj yoda has a sick mix of this with loads of scratching. Great track.

  • Glad he appears to be taking care of biz. Last year he married the actress Malinda Williams (Bird from Soul Food, chick in Young Buck's video) right ?.

  • This Guy has skills reminds me of Nas but before Nas.

  • D-Nice had skills no doubt, only difference was Nas rapped about way more topics, and story-telling than how nice he was as a lyricist. That's basically all ever D-Nice did.

  • I'm a female and I loved this song. I learned every word to this track and to me it's still hot!

  • nowadays kats got nuthin to do with any back in da days real emcees! D-Nice got sum skills, diggin his style

  • Classic. Anybody know why KRS One dissed him so hard a lil while after D-Nice went solo? I never knew what happened.

  • NEVER KNEW HE DISSED HIM? i like d-nice back then....i had both his tapes!

  • they say d-nice was the reason scott la rock was killed ....over some girl nice was talking to ...an altercation occurred and scott tryed to take up for nice and got gunned down

  • KRS dissed D-Nice after Nice did this album. Everything was good between them before. That's why I don't see how the Scott La Rock thing could be the reason, but I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm trying to remember which BDP album it was when KRS 1 dissed him hard. It was written on the tape sleeve after the credits. So it wasn't anything verbal.

  • I can of remember him dissing him during an interview discussing the Self Destruction single

  • Sex and violence album "She sees me as Pee Wee Herman, I ain't trying to diss her!" We in there was the track. I had the album.

  • @f1tony2003 KRS didnt dis D-Nice after he went solo. It was always part of the plan. You can hear KRS on this album AND his second album. Learn your facts first...then speak.

  • Doh...one love brothers

    hip hop=hip hop

    doesnt matter who's representing it

    Peace Out

  • I loved bumpin this tape in my walkman. Great stuff,Great song, great video! 5 stars.

  • "IM A PROFESSIONAL BOY UR JUST A ROOKIE" whether people like it or not he influenced KRS-One not the other way round

  • i dont think so bruh. KRS -1 influenced everybody!

  • That was a lyric he said in this track wasn't it? KRS ONE mmm over rated. LOL Shit! He wishes! KRS ONE is still around. D-Nice is so underground he can't be found! LOL

  • @boogers4dinner: No, D-Nice didn't say that.

  • mmm this is my teenage years damned im old lol ty fo the vid

  • TUNE!

  • video music box dayz

  • In my prime, more vulgar than I EVER been!

    Hit 'em D-Nice!

  • i have this original album on cd..good shit

  • Its Obvious KRS wrote this song.

  • Actually it was D-Nice aka Derrick Jones ;)

  • i dont know if krs wrote this one?

  • So if you're not american you can't be a top hiphop dj then judging by what some of you are saying , Dj Yoda is a well travelled

respected and very creative dj who has monthly article in the hiphop connection . WHY don't you ask some of your top U.S djs like Q Birt Babu Flash Spinna who Yoda is . Then a some of you probably don't know who they are WHO EVER DISSED HIM IS NOT HIP HOP IN MY OPINION

  • Not Hip Hop?! DJ Yoda is a gimmicky DJ who wins competitions because of the humor in his sets, not because of his scratch-skills or his ability to dig in the crates for dope beats.. (the Emmerdale theme tune doesn't count as a dope beat).

I suggest you stop reading about Hip Hop, and start listening to it..

  • Not all hip hop dj's are great at scratching some are able to put together nice blends and mixes , i like yoda because he will try obscure ideas, and if you listen to hip hop like your telling me to , you would no Bambaata and Biz Markie will have ALL types of breaks n there crates from all around the world maybe even the Emmerdale theme tune not just James Brown funk jazz or r+b , I could be wrong but you sound a tad jealous AND WHATS WRONG WITH A LITTLE HUMOUR IN HIP HOP . PEACE OUT

  • Haha, you're funny. I've been a turntablist/hiphop-dj for about 8 years, and was writing on the walls before that, so trust me, i know my hip-hop. There isn't a formula for making it, and i'm aware that there's more to making beats than just searching the usual James Brown/Roy Ayres backcalalog.

  • But that doesn't mean that if you drop a comedy record in the middle of a set, you're automatically a DJing god. I was responding to your comment where you basically said, you don't know hiphop if you don't know Yoda, and Yoda's FAR from being the definition of hiphop in my eyes.

  • STOP READING START LISTENING

  • Dj Yoda is the man! Before all you americans just start hating on him, why don't you actually have a listen? He mixes this song on his Fabric Live 39 mix!

  • A gem. Thanks for uploading this.

  • What ever happened to D Nice ? He fell off the grid. I thought he would be the next big thing.

  • Last I heard, he's engaged to Melinda Williams, she played in Soul Food the series.

  • I cannot believe, some-one's uploaded this.

    Nostalgic post for real!!!

    Nice one!! xD

  • I was wondering if anyone, besides me, was wondering how Lil Wayne had come up! This here is real hip hop at it's best! He is just killing this beat and makes you thirst for a good rap battle. Bring on Lil Wayne and Souja Lil Boy! The winner is still D-Nice and BDP! Peace to all the people who got sense about real DJing and MCing!

  • The reason why Lil wayne came to my head was just a figure of speech of todays Hip Hop compaired to back in the day. Your right D-Nice(BDP) at his best!!(smile!!!. You can understand what he is sayin(smile!!!) Today they just dont make sense and talk about anything.

  • On the strength that his name started with a "D",..like mine,...D-Nice was my man. Decent ass performance video....no champagne, chicks and whips! Just D-nice, some wardrobe a location and a camera. HIP HOP!

  • It looks like im in on a video with my peers. I want to see a lil wayne finatic come in here and represent this guy!! LOL!

  • Thats real Hip Hop. Not that Lil Wayne Sh--t!

  • D-Nice is definitely a marqui M.C.
