V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max - General presentation

Can vray 2.0 work with Max 9 64bit? Or do I have to f*cking buy a new version of max each time a new vray release is out.

I have noticed a strange lag/delay when using the vray VFB with max2012...opening the VFB, rerendering and even moving the window around is somehow...laggy...i cant explain it really, its just some kind of latency but its not related to hardware.

The difference is quite big and I went back to 2011.But is CG aware of this?

I dont know if its max or vray related though...

I'm trying this myself, but when I try to use the GPU to render (using two HD4850's), It stops responding. I see an error about it failed to compile the OpenCL kernels, and falling back to CPU, but the standalone stops responding. Any idea what his might cause? (same problem on laptop with 9600MGT)

@BoseATI Iray and Vray RT uses cuda technology from NVIDIA it will only work with nvidia cards with cuda cores enabled.

As Vray 2.0 has Vray RT included, can you guys make a comparison between ATI and Nvidia cards in Vray RT? That way we can know the performance difference between them
