ive some questions

1.would the speed controller handset help in tt races?

2.would the chassis in them tt's be made from technic liftarms?

3. what would it cost to make each tt? on average

1. No.

2. In the vast majority of trucks, yes.

3. I think the average cost of parts would be something like $300 or $400 for a good looking truck. This does not include the time needed for development and testing of a truck, which is difficult to estimate in financial terms.

How long does it actually take? Every Truck was awesome, I wish I could take part in these stuffs...

You mean the entire race? Usually it's between 3 or 4 hours, depending on how much time we spend prattling :)

why do you stand so close to the trucks the rc is able to send a far signal

probably so they can get a better of the terrain, how the truck's weight is distributed, if any of the wheels are slipping, etc.

they are infrared based and the signal can be disrupted by sunlight

You guys should hold a winter rally where people have to overcome ice and snow and they have the choice of using tracks or wheels, but it must resemble a vehicle such as one of those treaded trucks they have in Antarctica! I would host one but I don't know any other lego fans in my town :(

You can probally hold a winter truck trial if it snows some time over there. I think it would be funny seeing somebody trying to climb a small bump of ice with a lego trial truck.
