here is the fact: Kaspersky Internet Security is good with lotsa free extras like firewall, etc. But I changed to Kaspersky Anti-virus coz KIS slows down computer. For me, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 is the best antivirus ever.. ok.. no avg, no avast, no eset. KASPERSKY. dont try to fool urself downloading useless softwares. you can also find keys for it. For me, use Kaspersky anti-virus together with spybot search and destroy and ccleaner.. Ull definitely love ur comp. trust me. =]

Norton is pretty dangerous really, Norton is designed to leave a virus on your computer if it is uninstalled, Norton want customers to stay with them forever but they cannot accept the fact that it is total crap!!! The virus it leaves is a small but leathal package of trojans, these trojans are very powerful and can mess with your computer very very easily, AVG is a good program but if you try and uninstall it then your computers internet may not work, the only ones i recommend are mcafee or ZAP

I got burned by Microsofts Windows live one care anti virus and fire wall protection. I had Norton at first and it made my computer's really slow! Microsoft rips you off on the last 25 days of the subscription. All programs started not to respond, control panel stopped responding, my nero program stopped responding, pretty much everything stopped responding! I downloaded Trend micro professional 2009 trial and now I have a smile on my face! It detected 12 viruses, I say microsoft put there.

Avast isnt that good tbh. Its just to slow compared to any AVG or Kaspersky product. NOD32 is also quite slow, but is thrice as effective than avast. Norton , well you might aswell sledge hammer your pc. and webroot is effective but also a little slower than kaspersky

Wait What ? AVG Free Edition ? I hope it seriously isn't that. AVG's detection rate is one of the lowest in the popular antiviruses. It's real time protection is weak, and it's practicaly useless agaisn't big infections.

I don't know about the payed version of AVG but I don't expect the detection rate to be higher since they sahre the same virus database for both free and paying version. It does not belong in this list.
