This band is so bitchin! They've been going since the 80's. I bought "The Ultra-Violence" back in 1988, and i never looked back, looking forward to each album of theirs. Their songwriting owns! Even though the Pepas (Dennis and Gus) and Andy Galeon are no longer in the band, they still are killer! Saw the videos on YT of them playing the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise. They were great!!! FUCKIN CHEERS to Death Angel!!!

@ voltronsky I absolutely adored the first three albums--they got me into Death Angel in the first place--but man, their post-hiatus stuff, including this, is kickass. If anything, their new, leaner, meaner, more focused sound makes the songs hit harder. I wouldn't call this generic and disposable--I started listening to this more than a month ago, and it is still hogging my CD player.

I'm a huge 80's DA fan, but they just can't do it. They're trying so hard on this album, it's fucking sad they have nothing but generic, predictable and disposable songs to offer long time fans. Good live band still, but face it, their legendary status is tarnished beyond repair with every single album they shit out.

@voltronsky no, SLipknot is predictable generic and disposable. DA still make tons of bands look like little girls, and still pound out old school bay area thrash like very few bands still can. It's not the same as Act III or Ultra VIolence but they're still amazing and inspire me with every song i hear.
