  • I just went through over 50 rolls of nickels, dimes and quarters and only found 1 dime.

  • I have been doing this for years and the silver halves used to be so easy to find. Not any more. They're as hard to find as the silver dimes and quarters. I went to the bank last weekend and got $1,000 and got NOTHING. If this were even just three years ago, I would've gotten at least 10-15 silver ones. With silver now over $40, more people are looking out after these.

  • @ScorpioBornIn69 I had been a retail store manager for about 33 years. I handled tons of cash over the years. Even in the 33 years of keeping my eye out for silver in the cash register i hardley ever came across it......once in a while but rare. A month ago I found a pretty damn nice 1964 quarter in my change....I was so surprised...it made my day

  • @inkey2 My mom handles the till and gets silver probably when some kids unknowingly spends their parents silver coins for $.25 candies

  • to help open the rolles I use my swiss army knife's bottle opener to unroll the sides. makes it alot easier!

  • Cool, but you're letting the cat out of the bag.

  • I love when we outsmart the banks and the banksters. The Federal Reserve Bank as Federal as Federal Express is always planning something evil like inflation against the people so this is a way to fight back. Keep stacking. The next time I am back in the US I will have to hit up some banks and do some digging. i don't think too many people are doing this.

  • With silver at $27.25 an ounce, silver value in the 90% ones are $9.85 and the 40% are $4.00.

  • I just went through 100 bux of half dollars and found 1 lol, they sure are getting scarce

  • I found one 40% silver clad kennedy in my first 10 dollar roll from the bank today. I already have a 90% silver.

  • Yes , the Kennedy half dollar 1964 (silver)

    1964 - 1969 40% silver

  • can you just get these at a local bank?

  • did you get these at a local bank?

  • Tight.

I've found 2x 40% half dollars by randomly hitting up my bank.

  • Is there any way to tell banks to order mint rolls of current half dollars or 1 dollar coins? All the banks in my local area are mediocre and none of them carry silver eagles.

  • Markaroni1952 - I just bought $80 in face value of American half dollars from a lady of whom gave them to me for just that $80 face value. The outline of this lot is that all Half Dollars - 160 of them in total - are of silver content! Whereas 134 of them are of the 40 % silver variety dated 1965 to 1969 and the remaining 26 are 1964 Kennedy Halves (90% silver D and Plain mintmarks 18 count ) & Benjamin Franklin Halves ( 8 count ). What a lucky exchange I got! I'm a long-time numismatist too!

  • I love when that happens.

  • @DetroitLove4U WOW! What a find.

  • @zekehooper Just to add to what I said....I just went through $370 in halves and only found one 69' . Must be the area I am in????

  • how do u know that it is 40%?

  • Halves from 1964 are 90% silver. Halves from 1965 - 1969 are 40% silver.

  • Hey great video's buddy!!! could i just order a few boxes from Chase Bank? Cause what I have heard is that it is better to order from a central bank where there are more stockpiles of long unsearched halves. In which case the chances of finding silver would be greater than in local re-rolled halves. what do you think? By the way, keep the videos commin.

  • Hey looks like you got machine rolled half dollars. You will have better luck finding hand rolled half dollars.

  • I got a box from the bank today. I got 3 silver pieces from the entire thing. I also found a 10 peso coin in there and best of all i found an 1862 dix centimes copper french coin. I really wish i had found more silver though.

  • I've been buying half dollar rolls, searching for silver for a few months now - been hitting different banks around Los Angeles and just yesterday I picked up 10 rolls in which 6 ENTIRE rolls were 1965-69 ALL 40% Silver (120 coins!) and as a little cherry on top, one coin in one of the non-silver rolls was a 1986 commemorative liberty proof - now im sure that goes BEYOND luck, i mean it might even be fishy, BUT! goes to show you that it's worth keeping eyes open!

  • @shrump87 Awesome find man I envy you lol

  • Congratulations,,,, git ya some! There is still a ton of silver out there so go get it. Check my video cheap silver to see some of my finds from last year.
